I have been planning on adding a DSMnoisemaker OmniCabSim Deluxe to my life, but then they announced the Simplifier "zero watt amp".

The first question everyone wanted answered, of course, was, "Will there be a bass version?" And the answer is yes, the "Simplifier Bass Station".

100% Analogue. Three preamp styles, three band EQ, three power tube styles, Presence and Resonance controls, three different types of cab sims in stereo (individually selectable), and a stereo imaging enhancer, plus mono to stereo FX loop, aux in, headphone amp, and stereo DI and pass-through. In a box the size of a standard effects pedal. For $349 USD.

And the guitar version, at least, sounds *amazing*:

I think I just died and went to heaven.

Wow thanks for your mention!!!

The bass station is a bit different to the simplifier.
The preamp is based on the venerable ampeg svt with active EQ and 3 mid position.
Then, after the preamp, there's an fx loop, and then there's a blend with the clean (parallel) signal.
The parallel signal has its own fx loop, and a switchable LPF.

After that, it goes into the cabsim, with a cabsim blend, resonance, style, size and mic position controls.
One DI out is the final output, and the other is the parallel output.

Nice uh!!!!?

VERY nice! I had been planning on building a pedalboard specifically for travel using an OmniCabSim Deluxe, but once the Simplifier was announced, I put my plans on hold until I could decide between the two, and then the bass version teaser was published. Now I want all three, of course! :D

Thank you so much for doing what you do.

Is the Bass Station shipping in February or does the pre-order price just run until February?

Can you route another preamp into the parallel return, to then use an external Preamp alongside the internal pre?

@Dsmnoisemaker Three questions.. is there a headphone amp (I can’t see anything in the images?), is there a means to deal with potential phase issues in the parallel loops.. and could you give an indication of the voltage/mAmp required to power it (I’m assuming it’s similar to the Guitar Simplifier)?

I’ve already got both the OCSD & Mini - so trying to figure out if this is worth a pre-order..

Yes, there is a headphone amp, 120mW @ 32 Ohm.

Current consumption 50-100 mA, depending if the headphone jack is in use. And it’s 9-12V.

And there is a phase switch for the parallel out.

Thank you @TheLopp , sorry, i was looking at the image on a phone originally & completely missed some really obvious details from the picture - appreciate you taking the time.
