It should be available in stores by the end of February. Same with preorders, will be shipped during February.
Scuba's unit is a sample that we took to the Namm. It even has labelling mishaps that we will correct on production. So there was a first batch with preorders and those folks have received theirs already?
deserves mentioning how pleasing the SLO and the BassStation look together. The Simplifier is simply amazing! Can’t believe how much functionality is crammed into this thing. And it sounds fantastic.
It is also very small.

Is the manual for the bass version available for download? I looked but only saw the guitar version.
Hey Dan, @Dsmnoisemaker - for those who have pre-ordered the Bass Simplifier, is there any clearer date for shipping, other than just February?
I appreciate things change/move, just keen to get stuck in!

I get your point. Both the OCSD and the Bass Simplifier are great for FOH. But they are for different type of players. If you already own a floor preamp that you like and assorted effects, the OCSD is a better choice. The only thing that gives me pause about the Simplifier Bass Station is not that it's modelled after an SVT, it's that I can't decide between the SBS and the OmniCabSim Deluxe!
I've never owned an SVT, and at this point in my life, I have no desire to own an SVT. But, although I've never had one, the first bass amp I used was a borrowed late 60s B-15N Portaflex, and I was never unhappy with "the Ampeg Sound".
As a bassist, I've owned Trace Elliot Series 6 solid-state, Trace Elliot V-Type tube, SWR hybrid, and Mesa/Boogie hybrid rigs (current), and loved every one of them. As a guitarist, I've owned Ampeg solid-state, Ampeg tube, and Mesa/Boogie tube rigs.
But while I definitely want the Simplifier for guitar, I'm not sure the Bass Station version is what I need or want for bass, instead of the OCSD. TBPH, I'm not sure if maybe just two OCSDs would be what I really need for guitar, too.
If money were unlimited, I'd simply buy both Simplifiers and two OCSDs, and not worry about it until I had them all to compare, myself.
I have a tendency to make things more complicated than they really need to be, which is ironic, given that the product in question is called the "Simplifier".
I can't wait to hear more demo videos of all three products, but I'm already sold on the idea. I'm planning on downsizing to a "tiny house on wheels" and/or a downtown apartment so small that I won't be able to store my amps at home, anymore. I will need to rent a studio or storage unit somewhere outside my house, but I will still need some way of amplification for practicing and capturing ideas at home.
I also want to build out a "fly rig" pedalboard for travel, and so the Simplifier and/or OCSD products are going to be the backbone of my system. I had actually already settled on the OCSD, and then the Simplifier was announced.

But for players that go straight from the bass to DI to FOH, the Simplifier is a huge step up. The OCSD really shines when there's already a preamp or dirt pedal on the chain. That's where the Simplifier idea came up.
