OK, I know that someone posted a CL ad from Nashville about Three Doors Down looking for a bassist, but now I can't find it here; I have, however, found the reason for the ad...

I answered a CL ad early this morning, (about one minute after it was posted), that said:

"HAMMOND B3 ORGAN FREE".

I went to look at it, and it is a B3 in a non-road "Decorator Cabinet", with a built-in speaker, and reverb, (no Leslie).

I tried to talk them down, but free was as low as they would go.

I will be renting a truck with a lift gate next Saturday to pick it up.

Now I'm looking for a Leslie.

have 2 packs of ernie ball strings,HEAVY gauge and THIN,there is currently ernie ball MEDIUM gauge strings on bass,so you can get a feel for what gauge you like, also have the CORD for bass to amp,SHOULDER STRAP,STRINGING TOOL that cuts and winds to replace strings,will also throw in a dozen BASS PLAYER magazines,2 BOOKS also, EVERYTHING is in MINT condition and has always been kept in a temperature controlled environment

Hard to tell from the tiny little pic, but that looks like it's just a VM P...nice bass but nowhere near his asking price, even if he was silly enough to add a pickup that's worth the price of the bass itself. I would like to see his receipts...that could be interesting.

well, that's a unique way to be fired from a band. Haven't had that happen to me....yet (been fired from 2 bands).

This series, although made in Mexico, doers not say that on the front (or back ) like the current model.
Bass has a wonderful tone, that JB growl and Mojo, not even all American Jazz basses have anymore.
Heavy wood has been used on this Bass - with lots of bottom end.
Frets and neck are perfect - and body is very clean.
