Lol. I once had a guy send me a link to his ad but it was the edit page. I guess there was a loophole because I was able to change his ad around without him knowing after he have me an attitude.

I wonder if this is the same thing.

Found this good one in the Atlanta CL this morning. He seems very interested in being in a band with "some serious A-holes". Shouldn't be hard filling those positions in this area.

I'm a 24 year old lead guitar player trying to put together a REAL rock n' roll band. No ********. Old school rock... Covers and originals that would include bands like Guns N' Roses, John Sykes, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Ozzy, etc. need good mix of talent and attitude; ******** welcome. Serious inquiries only... I don't have time for trendy multi-mismatched genres, guys with no gear, or people showing up to a gig wearing flip flops and a ****in' polo shirt. Need good gear... can't sound good without it. Call, text or email.. 404 281 1708

LOL! This guy got flamed shortly after he posted this.

RAMONES TRIBUTE forming for mature players (W.P.B)

No wigs, no look alike's and no need to have RAMONES exact equipment. No nonsense. Just love of the band and experience.
Bassist, part of original punk scene in N.Y.C. forming RAMONES tribute to play out or just for fun.
I still look and act the part and so should you.
Must know the material. Be financially able to chip in for rehearsal in West Palm at beautiful new studio.
Players dont realize how difficult it can be to play a RAMONES set(s) so please---
Drummers need to be able to play constant 1/8 notes for entire set without stopping or crapping out. 1,2,3,4 right into the next song.
Guitarists-Johnny Ramone played constant down strokes with very little strumming. Not easy to do.
Vocalists do need the chops to sound like Joey.
If you cant meet these requirments an audition would be a wate of your time.
*Please you cant have your own agenda. The project is exactlty as stated and is not a vehicle to do originals etc.

Hurry this GUITAR wont last! (Ky)

I have a new-but not abused 2012 telecaster, bought it new for 799.99 so my lost if going to be your gain! The neck says made in china but the music store I bought it from said it was a stamping error and it's actually a USA which should make it more valuable being a miss-stamped guitar. I bought it back in 1998 and only played it twice since in the two gigs we had schedule, once in 98 at grandma's house and the last gig we did in 2011 at grandma's house. This guitar is in great shape, with just a small chip out of the back side (about the size of a ½ dollar) where my belt buckle hit up against it. It's missing one pickup but it does have the other two original pickups in it so the third is not really needed. And last thing is just a small crack in the neck maybe 3" to 7" long where I dropped it when trying to show off by swinging the guitar around my neck. (At grandma's house concert) But besides that the guitar is in like mint condition, handled & used very gentle while playing heavy metal. It is missing the fender sticker on the neck, kind of peeled off one rainy night. It does have a new set of string on it, but I still have the originals if you want them. I'll even autograph it if you want, never signed anything in my life so it should make it worth more also. Ok I know you cant wait to know, but since this is a miss-printed guitar, signed, almost antique now, probably a collectors piece and in good condition-I'm asking 1399.99 which is a steal considering its like new but over 11 years old I would imagine its worth probably 2gran now. Hurry this wont last, first come will get it or I will trade for a 1976 (only) Ranger Bass Boat.

Bass player available for PAYING GIGS ONLY. I play G, C, D. If your songs are not in G, please transpose them into G. If your song has an Em or Bm or anything off the wall I will probably sit out that chord. Or I could learn those notes for $30 each. If you want me to do fancy stuff like go back and forth between G and D while you hold a G chord, forget it because I'm a "pocket" player. Minimum $100 per gig within a 5 mile radius of 39202. $5 per mile travel charge for other areas out of town. Please make sure your gigs are on a JATRAN bus route, or you can pick me up at my place. Must be home by 11pm due to previous legal hassles. No gigs within 500 yards of schools, parks, or playgrounds.

Location: Jackson

Up here in Canadaland we have a thing called Kijiji. I'm pretty sure it's everywhere, but it's just not as popular in other areas.

Things get pretty dumb there too. Case in point:

I'm thinking that if I do buy the Ampeg rig I'll go try out. I'll be sure not to shower for a week and possibly drool on myself the whole time I'm there. Oh, and play everything at just that annoying half beat behind everyone else. Maybe just play an E all night too.

I have an upright bass guitar for sale. It is decorated in red marker board tape as a spider web (very durable - Its been there for years and has no sign of wear and its been all over the place). You can remove it if you want, but that would be stupid because its the coolest thing ever. You will meet hot chicks if you play this thing live. I guarantee that unless you are a complete loser. Anyways back to the bass. It sounds excellent, it has an quarter jack input so you can hook it up to a half stack and piss your neighbors off, or.... play in front of a huge crowd of people at some festival in the boonies where almost anything goes. Its up to you. I had my fun with it and it does not deserve to sit up against this wall for 1 more day. It needs to be played. It needs to travel. It needs to live. Come check it out for yourself.

Comes with a soft case, but the zipper sucks. Also comes with an extra bridge. It has weedwacker stings that are pretty awesome and sound good.

Midget Wrestling Ring/Baby Pool - Rigid Plastic (Lafayette Hill)

This is a nice size baby pool - used lightly for midget jello wrestling and various events with baby oil. Great for a few small children, or a fun parent or wrestling partner! Way easier to set up than an inflatable ring, because it is rigid plastic - just fill and play! Seen at many bachelor party's for hot oil wrestling.

We have outgrown it based on our size and tastes. We have moved onto larger venues. This vintage example has been in our garage being used as a toy bin for several years. It is dirty at the bottom, but I think it is mostly the white scaling (lets not go there). I looked at it in the sun today and did not see any holes in it, so I think it would still work.

Used for: wrestling, leaves, sledding, hot tub, etc.

Come pick it up and it's yours! The warm days are coming soon!

Bassist available, 13 years experience, LET'S DO THIS! (Carlsbad)

Date: 2012-02-22, 1:47PM PST

Ok, so is it just me or do all the musicians around my specific area only want to play in one of four things? A.) An emo-metal (what I call Gear-mo) band motivated by their crowd of teary eyed girls and guys and their guitarists thinking they're more technical than your guitarist B.) The poopiest punk band they can make simply for the sake of sounding ****** C.) A cover band strictly in it for the $ or D.) A reggae band that sounds like the other 20 reggae bands in the same town usually made up of hip-hoppers who pick up an instrument just so they can actually call themselves musicians and get away with it.....do I sound bitter?

Not that I have a problem with any of these genres, in fact I'm what you could call bonafide "punk rock royalty" because of my parents, but let's start something different for once, and let ME play in it! So, I'm 25 years old, I've been playing bass since I was 12, and yeah I'm really tired of being the bassist for any of those four things listed above. I have availability on Wed and most nights...I have a job, a car, I go to school, and I don't have huge drug or alcohol problems/issues. I do use 420 but I've come to terms with the fact a long time ago that it's a mind altering substance and I don't need it to survive or feel normal. In fact, I won't be able to in a year from now when I transfer schools. Anyway, I see the fact that simply good songwriting is just as important as technicality on an instrument, I'm not an ego maniac (even though this ad has a lot of "I" in it) and actually very adaptable and agreeable. I have bass riffs written but not structured just because I could never find the musicians that have balls to try and write something different and unusual but catchy and user friendly at the same time. Only downside is that I've been playing on the same bass since 1999 and I never had mommy & daddy money to get a sweet new Warwick or something, and the same amp since like 2003. Good news about that, they both still work and so do my fingers.

Some bands and artists I like to draw my influence from are: The Clash, Tom Waits, Red Hot Chili Peppers (mostly Mother's Milk era), Joy Division, Jamiroquai, Dave Matthew's Band, Joe Jackson, Duran Duran, Louis Prima, Bauhaus, Raymond Scott, Echo and the Bunnymen...the list goes on and on but there's an idea for you.

So what are you waiting for? I've got your Steve Harris trot and your Flea bitch slap right here, let's write some cool fresh tunes that show we are not musically illiterate (technicality) or musically selfish (good songwriting), and something that will get people both young and old, chicks and dudes, black and white, to start dancing and stop crying! Oh and I forgot one other thing, I am quite partial to accordions, banjos, saxophones, whatever awesome instruments you can bring to the table the more variety the more possibilities! Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you soon!
