EBMM StingRay Special Club

Verrrrrrrrrry nice! That would fit right into my bursts-only bass collection. :D ;) :D

I know there's the current Burnt Ends and I have the Vintage Tobacco burst from a few years ago. I don't remember there being a three-toned burst in the Special lineup, but I love that one (especially with the tortoise shell pickguard!).

Congrats!

EDIT: Actually, that finish looks a lot like my first Stingray (sold it to buy my current Honeyburst), a lovely Vintage Sunburst with matching headstock. It's a shame that one weighed 11 pounds. I would have kept it if it was under 10.

don’t worry, I will picture the two together for you guys ;)

I see lots of pictures of Stingrays posted on here, but not really of them being used on stage. I think it would be pretty cool to see how the different versions look in actual use like the Amethyst Sparkle, Burnt Ends and others. How about it everyone, let's see some pics. :)

OK, I'll play ...

My avatar is B&W and pretty small, but the bass I'm using in it IS my Special! So here's the full size version.

Here's a color picture that gives a good look at the Vintage Tobacco Burst finish - and a crappy look at me. In my defense, both the temperature and the humidity were near 100 on that day and the most of the pictures taken that day were ... let's just say, not among our favorites. :D But at least a couple of the B&W pics, such as the one above, came out OK.

Here’s a shot of my Aqua Sparkle in action:

Nice! Thank you guys. They both look great.

Since I started this I'll add a couple as well. You all have seen mine before in cases or on the stands, but not in use.

First up is the Smoked Chrome:

If you zoom into it you can get a good idea on just how brilliant it is in real life.

Second is the HD Yellow:

Love that color! :woot:

Which blue is that, it looks too dark for the Speed Blue and doesn’t look sparkly like the Pacific Blue.

It actually *is* Pacific Blue Sparkle. Just under a covered stage, without any direct lighting

Damn I don't have a picture from the last time I gigged my Amethyst so here you go again with the one from November 2022

That looks sweet. I'm starting to get pretty fascinated with the Amethyst Sparkle. Nice

I think she likes this bass. :headphone::bassist::hyper:
And I don’t blame her one bit.

I think she's really enjoying herself quite a bit.

Just got this in yesterday...Raspberry Burst!

There's a 4 string version at a local shop that looks really nice. Looks good in person.

Oh hello!!! That's eye catching big time. That pickguard is perfect for it.

Looks like Tectonic Blue Sparkle, I have one just like it in 4HH. If it were Pacific Blue Sparkle it would have a maple fret board with black pickguard, yours is ebony fretboard with white guard like mine. With a spot light or sunlight on it, it's an explosion of azure fireworks!

Yeah I would definitely rock that.

Thank you everyone who posted these pics. I think it gives me a better perspective on how they look watching them in use. :)
