EBMM StingRay Special Club

Yeah, that's an awesome visual!! Looks killer.

Totally different animal, but I used to have a Sunset Orange Transparent Jazz (2004). Beautiful color, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it looked on a relatively dark stage. Doesn't compare to that yellow, but better than I expected.

Pretty, I always liked Sunset Orange. I'm obsessed with bursts and, to me anyway, that finish always looked like a finish that started out intending to be a three-tone burst but then decided to just stay as-is and not actually become a burst. I like it!

I'm going to take a guess and say that @LadyLoveStingRay5 was talking about me. LOL.

If I found that one for sale I'd have a real problem trying to figure out what I'd have to sell to justify buying it. I'm Bongo curious but that exact bass is a white whale I'm not sure I'd ever find and so I'm just not actively looking for one. There are VERY few of these out there and it's the one Bongo that is tailored to my tastes. I couldn't have designed a better Bongo myself.

I'm a little jealous, but I'm seriously happy for you. Congrats on an awesome find! :bassist:
It's funny since I wasn't even looking. I really prefer the HH setup on the Bongo than the HH on the Stingray

One day I'd love to try a single H Bongo to compare to my Special

Your Bongo looks fantastic. I was looking for a fretless Stingray or Big Al when I got my fretless Bongo 5HH. What an amazing bass.

Just what I needed to read, more glowing reviews of Bongos .....

Although, I do have a four-band EQ and neodymium pickups on my Big Al and it also has an active/passive switch (and the passive tone is WONDERFUL). Maybe I'm better off with the Big Al after all ....

(hopefully that's persuasive sounding enough to keep me from starting to look for Bongos :D)
