Eden Amps - Still Cool ??

So am I, pulling for the company at least, although I might not sound like it at times.

same here, bro...i'm currently between a big rock and a very hard place with them at the moment, and i'm really at a loss...i love the gear and love the tone...love it...i'm contemplateing more eden stuff, but it's just really hard right now...i'm just in a big funk with them

I have been gigging with my Nemesis NC410 combo for a couple of months and I love it. I didn't realize how much until I heard someone else play through it when they sat in on a gig. It sounded even better out front than it does on stage.

However, It did have a speaker that went bad in the first week. Fortunately I have good relationship with the store where I bought it. They replaced my bad speaker with one from a store model. It took a very long time to get the replacement for that. I know that the sales reps at Eden (US Music or whoever owns them now) do not return phone calls. Not a week after they replaced that speaker, one of the other speakers in the floor model went bad. I also have a student who owns one and had the same problem.

Perhaps they had a bad batch of speakers. Other than that I love it.

Eden's have a warm and clear round sound. I get to play on two models, both not my own. One is the WT300 and the other is the original VT.40, which had the Demeter designed tube pre-amp but w/gain and dbx compressor. It also had a tube driven effects loop. By itself it sounds ok, but w/Hartke Attack pedal it is very impressive indeed. I would like to buy the VT.40 back from my friend. I traded it plus a 62 RI to get back my 74 jazz.

Every dude working in the music store when I traded my Metro was gathered around it drooling. It was definitely still cool for them. Still cool for me, too-- I went back to the shop today to visit my amp on the floor...

by the way, I traded it mainly b/c I am not gigging with it, and wanted to see if I could get into the whole Jazz Bass neck profile.

edit: wait, I just re-read the above post. Guess I gave mine away for a somewhat similar reason. A Marcus Miller is no '74, though...

Are Eden amps still cool??

I don't really care what anyone else thinks about them, but I think mine is incredibly cool and sounds bloody awesome! :D

I use to own a ton of Eden gear. Great sounding rigs! Had a WT800B that was a monster! The 610 XLT was a beast!
I started changing my opinion on them when the WT1205 came out. I wasn't disappointed with tone, it was the power.
I was rated at 1200 watts, but it wasn't very loud at all. A lot of members on their forum were saying the same thing. And there were being shipped with a lot flaws...ordered a WT800C and the tuner out did not work.
Now I use Mesa Boogie amps...the Titan V12 and the Walkabout 1X12. Never had a problem with them.
I will say this, speaking of Eden...I'm curious to hear the new Pro 900. Anyone tried one out?
I don't know of any stores in the Toronto area that sells Edens anymore.

Curious .. what is wrong with resurrecting an old thread? Would anyone know the thread was old if they didn't look at the date? Does it matter? Does the information go bad after a certain length of time? How long? What is the cutoff date?

I've always been curious about this.

EDIT: No disrespect meant to Middy or anyone else. I truly want to know.

This topic is still relevant. I love the eden tone but don't trust the company anymore. I have a MN made Nav and WT1250 that are amazing, but cant really see buying new stuff from them when there is Aguilar and Mesa to chose from.
