Eden Terra Nova amps...Any Reports?

Also the sweep for the "low mid" control is awfully low. 30hz? In what world is that low mid? It would make a lot more sense for it to begin at 100hz and go up to 500 or 600hz.
The parametric eq on Eden amps has always been able to overlap with the control next to it (in this case, the bass knob) as far as I can remember. It's just how they do things. I can't fault them as their tone stack has always been good to me even though I leave it as flat as possible.

Wow, looks light and compact in those pictures. Rack ear storage shows an intention to detail which is promising! How awkward was it to trigger that enhance button?

They are definitely lightweight. I did not try triggering the Enhance button, but I think there's more space than it might appear from that particular angle.

It bumps highs and lows and drops the mids.
Ugh, I hate those kinds of controls. Is "flat" all the way off?

In the bass world :)
Give it a try.
I've tried plenty of different EQs. For me that seems lower than would be most useful. "Low mids" to me means 100hz to around 600hz (if we're dividing just low and high mid... if you have low, mid, and high mids, then that's different), whereas high mids I think of as going up to even 3k.

I'd rather the two mid controls overlapped than the low mid overlapping with the bass control.

What's the frequency range for the bass and treble controls, anyway?

The low mid sweeps between 30 - 300 hz.
The high mid sweeps between 200 - 2000 hz. I'm not sure what the bass and treble freq's are at.

Like with the low mid knob going down to 30hz... lower than most cabs go, I'm not sure what the purpose of the bass knob is.

Unlike some on this thread, though, I actually do like the control layout, visually.
Bass and treble controls are usually shelving controls whereas the semi parametric will be bell curves. The bass might shelve at 30 the treble could be 6-8k maybe. The idea is you could cut or boost the shelf and still have control over a freq point. Very similar to my WT800 except it has 3 semi para mids.

The older World Tour heads used 2kHz for the treble shelving control. From the look of it, the Terra Nova employs the WT's Low and Mid semi-parametric controls (same range of adjustment, but relabeled Low Mid and High Mid), but leaves out the WT's third semi-parametric Treble control. There are some different uses for the 30Hz end, like cutting out some mud at the bottom. Assuming that the Enhance control is similar, most Eden users turn it off or just add a small amount.

Thus, the Terra Nova heads appear to be an updated, lighter, simplified, all solid-state version of the World Tour heads.

It is very useful IMHO.
Most Eden players play there amps with the controls set flat for the tone and adjust to adapt to the room. With the layout of the tone controls it is very easy. You can find nasty frequencies pretty quick.
Really, give it a try. Play a bit with it, you might like it.
PS: I think I never had had it set on 30 Hz, but I could if needed.

I hate to judge a book by its cover, but I can't get past the horrendous front panel layout, with buttons and knobs seemingly spewed at random, and the knobs just look too close together so that when you change one you'd be bumping the adjacent. With that kind of flawed user interface, I'd be very wary of any other engineering aspects.
At first, I thought the same thing about the panel layout. However, it almost makes sense. If reaching over to change something mid song, with the usual inline layout, it's pretty easy to change the wrong setting. With knobs in clumps/quadrants, it's a little easier to get to the right control. Granted, I'm not sure if I'm a fan of this design, but it's definitely interesting.
