Fake Dark Glass Pedals

I've bought a couple of DG pedals new and got their compressor in a trade.
I'll keep this brief. The compressor started having intermittent issues (I suspect were already there), I emailed DG and explained the whole situation (including the pedal being secondhand).
Posted the pedal to them, they clarified it was faulty and sent me back a new one with box and all (of which didn't have).
They could have simply said well you bought it second hand, sorry.
