Those are my favorite emotional Guitar solos, at least the ones I could think of. Most of em are simple but just.............................burning!

Have to agree with the David Gilmour examples. Two of my favorites happen to be the intro to Echoes and the guitar solo before the first lines of Shine On You Crazy Diamond. I once listened to that song (Shine) on a plane during take-off... incredible.

Any of these will do for me, but the Boston song has the added bonus of having a fun bass part and great lyrics

Damned fine solo in that song and many of the other ones posted. I singled this out because I think it's a bit beyond the norm for TB members
