Favorite Guitarists?

George Harrison. I could tell early as a teenager I would never be a "guitar god," such as Clapton, Hendrix, et al. But George's lines were always so tasty, technically perfect for the song, and, well, just so musical. I even named my first electric guitar I got when I was 13 in 1975 George. I still have it. Bridge and pickups modified. I could gig with it tomorrow if I wanted to, if I was invited to something other than a bass gig.

Andy Summers

I cannot believe Andy Summers has only been mentioned once, dude is a master of understated playing...

And Prince gets three mentions, IMHO he had the hippest right hand in the business...

The obligatory Hall of Fame video...

"How many bars you want for a solo, Prince...?"

"All of them..."

To round out a preferred three, Jimmy Page is alright, I guess... ;^p

EDIT TO ADD - LOL, I ust realized all three are artists who have tore it up on Telecasters...!

Not in order.

Ry Cooder
Marty Stuart
Eddie Angel
Richard Thompson
James Burton
Clarence White
Chuck Berry
Don Rich (Buck Owens)
Albert King
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Billy Gibbons
Danny Gatton

(There are more but I can't think of them right now.)
So Anyway, Great selection. I'd add Hank Marvin and Kenny Vaughn.
We should start a band, except there'd be two bass players. ;)
