He was FEAR's first bass player; and they were very punk... : )

Man, Mike & El Hefe are both amazing players; I've seen them live several times & I can't believe anyone would ever say that either of them (& their other guitarist) didn't rip it up; that's all they do all day fer cryin' out loud, is sit around & play! LOL

Was disappointed recently to find out that Paul Simonon did not write Magnificent Seven's bassline. It was the bassist from the blockheads. Also apparently Topper Headon recorded the bassline for Rock the Casbah. Did he write it? Seems likely. The drummer for god sake! That still leaves quite a few good basslines probably written by Simonon but it is disappointing. I hope he at least wrote Lost in a Supermarket and London Calling.

It's ok, he played on like 8 or 10 other albums LOL

That band started in 1977 and remain one of the best example of early punk music.
He often played a black Stingray and was one of the early adopter of this instrument.
