I went down a Chritina youtube rabbit hole recently and there are a lot of her videos with her cruise ship bands, smokin' stuff! Some of those instructional videos she does, it looks like she does them from her cabin.
She even did a video essay, of sorts, about being a cruise ship musician, which I would find interesting although I don’t think I’d ever want to do it myself. But it’s in Spanish, of which I know too little to understand. With that sort of thing curtailed right know, I wonder if that’s why she ramped up her instructional videos.
Now the bunk beds with curtains make sense! Crew quarters are pretty tight on those ships, and her quarters are a step up from the “way, way below decks” , third world, crew cabins I’ve seen.
I’ve worked as a contractor on a few cruise ships. Talk about a lesson in the stratification of a capitalist society.
Opulence to squalor in just a few decks. The morgue was a surprise, but I guess if you haul tons of old people around long enough you’ll need four to six drawers with refrigeration. Now that I’ve been “behind the curtain” on a cruise ship, I’ll never get on another unless the pay is excellent.
Anyway, there’s a Zoom B3 peeking out in one video. What a great tool for bass, a Swiss Army knife! Perfect set up for practicing with headphones. Several power options, including 6 AA batteries, or usb from a laptop. She’s making great use of the looper in one video.

The bass player in Elephant Gym is KT Chang, the group are from Taiwan.
I've been teasing my older Sister recently by sending her clips with bass-playing females in them
