i don't usually distinguish bass player by gender but I couldnt resist the opportunity to mention Monique Ortiz! she is fantastic.if anyone is familiar with Mprphine,Monique is a low-rock disciple of Mark Sandman. She's fronted many bands brilliantly, her vocals, her songs and her bass lines captivate. not kidding, please check her out yourself.

What about Widi Rahmawati from Indonesia? I'm not into metal at all, but can't stop listening to them sometimes:


But let us not forget the offspring - She seems to be really into it and loving it, not forced by idiotic parents to become their "wonder child" - and everyone playing a daphne blue bass must be great! She is 8 years old making even the shortscale Musicman look big.

I am familiar with Ellen but not VOB. A definite addition to my must listen to list. Thanks.
