It would be super cool, but necessarily incomplete. Because what this thread, I hope, demonstrates is that there are a lot of women bass players in all styles of music, and right from the start. They have had, it's true, a visibility problem in the past but fortunately things are changing, thanks to the Internet.
But to answer your question, while waiting for that list there is always this one:

Yes, she was on that show. But she's one of the most nertz kicking rockers of all time. She's awesome and really hasn't ever received the respect she deserves in the US.
Right? I love them!!! One of my favorite new bands over the last few years.
Always liked Aimee's stuff. Like the way she strolls back to the amp and cranks a couple knobs!

I'm posting Turid from Katzenjammer again because no-one is Liking her 
Starr Cullars played with P-Funk. Video quality is rough but gives you an idea.
I saw her and Lige Curry (P-Funk's current bass player) play as trio here at a small club here in Montana a number of years ago. Lige played guitar and Starr threw down on the bass. Great show!

Even with only 3 strings it's still a bass, not sure what that pickup is though. Probably hand wound by viking warriors in Tromso.
The whole band is really good. When they first started as a group, the bass was bigger than the bass player. They are from Mexico.

did anyone mention Hagar Ben Ari yet? she's so great, solid as a rock and just tasty, understated playing.
