Fender 2018 MIM Player Series

After I replaced the pickguard but before I replace the bridge with a Hipshot Kickass

What color guard are you looking for?

What else are you looking to change? Do share!

I have the Buttercream finish and wanted to "blackout" everything else.
I want a matte black pick guard, and eventually, I'll switch out the bridge (still researching right now), knobs, the tuners/string tree, and the control plate to black. I really don't like the white pick guard on it, so that's first priority (and luckily the cheapest of the mods lol), but I'm not sure which pick guards fit the Player Series yet.

Just got my buttercream P-bass a few days ago. Put on a 62 reissue mint guard, thumb-rest and GHS pressurewounds (medium light). BY FAR, and i mean BY FAR the best P I ever played and possibly also the best looking. I own (and will now sell) an AV 63 in sonic blue, and have owned American standard, American professional, etc. The 63 is like a battle-axe compared to this. Honestly, the Player in comparison is not much of a downgrade at all. The chrome plating seems slightly below A+ quality, but that's my only complaint. Something is weird/off about the look of the knobs too, and I am going to replace them with pure vintage versions. Might do the tuners too.

This bass is gorgeous and the neck is VERY playable and Jazz-like. Love the flat radius and thin nut. Frets are good. At $550/no tax/no shipping, I couldn't be happier. I just wish they had a real rosewood neck - it would set-off the buttercream more nicely than maple.

That looks really good. This bass definitely has 70s vibes even though the neck sort-of has a 50s look.
My first good bass was a '78 Oly white/Maple P-bass I bought new back in high school. After many years of having Jazz basses and regretting getting rid of the P, I always wanted to replace my 78. This does it. Actually, the thumb rest on here is the one off the 78.

Also, the neck feels just like the 78, which I was told was a copy of a 50's neck. I just like that it's thin and not the later "baseball bat" neck

Does anyone know what other Fender tuners are a direct replacement? These tuners are kinda weak, I can't get the E in tune!!!! Like, not even for a second. Thoughts?

Also, am I crazy? Are these volume and tone knobs weird? They seem taller and with a weird pattern in the sides...
