The Bass is a "Vintage Precision Custom Bass". I got one in 1994 and it was a 1993 model. Color is Butterscotch blonde.Hi,
Here's my Custom Shop Precision Bass, is that a P51, PJ51???... All the candy has been lost over the years... Got it last month, gave my Mike Dirnt Replica MIM Fender bass plus some cash... No regrets
Body is ink stamped "Dec 1992 PJ Bass", neck is ink stamped "Feb 19xx" and signed "PJ Bass Aug 1994".
"Would like to trace its history... Any knowledgeable guy one of you could point me to?

Well that was easy! Quick call to Fender and had the email in seconds after I hung up the phone. So tell us, then!
Yes, I have done it - just contact Fender and ask for the Shop Floor Traveller of your bass by giving them your SN. When you get it, please post what is says about the neck.Mine says:
Not sure why some were left blank that's what I was sent. Colors will be awesome.Glad to hear that! Why are some specs empty?
Tell us about the colors!![]()
Hahaha, you won't give them away, will you?![]()
