That's my ideal configuration. I will have to travel over to a shop to place a custom order. My local Guitar Center is fully of novice employees that know nothing about bass let alone Custom Shop Fenders. They had a hard time ordering me an Elite Jazz last year (side bar when it came in it had a horrible ground issue, and they tried to convince me it was normal, after a week I got them to take it back)

I wonder if the NOS is actually a little thicker to extend the NOS look a little longer?
Kinda disappointing....pretty much more of the same, but then again, I guess it’s only so much they can change...the spalted P looks great though, although I’m scared to know how much they probably want for that one..Fellow FCS bass owners, here are the 2018 FCS offerings.

My thing is, moving the years up or down a year doesn’t do much for me, unless there was something significant that happened with the development of the instrument in that year...do they offer a stacked knob Jazz..?..Yup...how about a transitional style ‘66..?..they have...tele style P..?..sure...a p with blocks and binding ala late ‘60s..?..Done...!...I’ve played enough custom shops to know that a ‘62 P sounds pretty much just like a ‘64...what’s the main differences..?..the colors that they offered that year, even though Fender has muddied the waters with that and now the colors seem to be all over the place...unless they offer something radically different (like a late 70s styles J) what’s so different about this year’s offerings versus last year’s..?..I can call one of FCS’s top dealers at any time and customize virtually anything they’ve already offered....they’ll do a ‘59 P in Antigua if you want, so why bother with presenting a newer lineup for ‘18..?..I guess because they have to..?
I am two months into the wait for a FCS Jaco tribute jazz bass; pics when it comes in. Hoping that it will be fairly quick since it is a stock offering!
