Fender Custom Shop Club

I can call one of FCS’s top dealers at any time and customize virtually anything they’ve already offered....they’ll do a ‘59 P in Antigua if you want, so why bother with presenting a newer lineup for ‘18..?..I guess because they have to..?
I can't agree more, and it is one of the things I keep on saying on TalkBass - the true essence of FCS is custom-ordering.

FCS limited runs such as the Ancho Poblano Strat etc, that I understand; modified instruments that feature something new/unique that cannot be ordered easily or even after the discontinuity of the model. However, the feedback I have from postings is that actually few are willing to custom-order and wait until their CS arrives.

Yeah nobody likes waitin for anything nowadays.....the AP Strat is awesome and the only one I’d conser biying because of the hot pickups...I wish like hell FCS would reissue a ‘78 Jazz with pearl B&B on a maple board with an ash body and a couple of those hot late seventies pickups (they could even call them Mango Habenero for all I care)....and I want it to weigh 11 pounds..:smug:

Some of the tribute stuff the FCS has done is pretty cool. Like when they recreated SRV's "No. 1" and "Lenny" or Eric Clapton's "Blackie" and "Brownie", even Eddie Van Halen's "Frankenstrat". I would like to see more of that in the way of basses. Still waiting for the FCS to do an exact recreation of "Duck" Dunn's '59 P. :)

Hello TB'ers, I would love to become a member of this club but I'm missing the CS bass. :) If anyone here is selling one or wanting to sell a CS Precision Bass (preferably relic'ed) hit me up. I am looking at 2K (+/-) depending on what it is, year, etc. Thanks in advance!

Yeah all three in one week. The 1960 J was a former bass that I had the opportunity to buy back and couldn’t turn down. The P was a test, I have had Ps before and they never did it for me. This was the case again. I just listed the postmodern P on the classifieds. The roasted maple J will be a forever bass. My 5 year old allready called dibs on it.
