Fender Decals On Non-Fender Basses

I've yet to see a Fender reissue or boggied decals with the original patient numbers so they're usually quite easy to spot.
Some interesting points and ranks made here about right and wrong. ...... I guess the bottom line is if you have dishonest intent in what you do, in this matter, we all think you're a low life. But, if you just want to see the Fender brand brazen across the headstock of your bass you be the judge. Just pass that info on before you die.

Help me out here... Is there actually a demographic on TB that simultaneously knocks the Fender brand while vehemently defending why they think it's cool to put a fake 'Fender' decal on their other-brand bass? 
The people who paste Fender decals on cheap guitars. They care. Every one of them.

Well, first you have to own a genuine Fender guitar. Then you send photos to Fender. Then you bring the guitar to a factory tech.....
You can get them on ebay.
But I am confused by this. I am a huge, huge, John Mayer fan and I have been thinking about getting a replica "the black one" relic strat. Id be prolly buying it off ebay from someone who did a good replica job, as the actual fender replica cost 7k at the least and theres only 83 of them. So the market price is even great right now.
Now to make this replica, Itd cost alot because theres a lot of time put into these guys doing the work. Id be buying the body and neck from someone on ebay, and then getting the parts for everything else myself. If I bought from someone who used actual fender neck or body, itd cost a chunk of change, vs getting something that is a cheaper strat copy body
Now when all is said and done and I want to complete MY guitar with a fender logo, preferably by having someone brand it on kus decals are lame...though I should get a decal because it saves money. Why couldnt I do this if Ill be using this guitar....for my own personal use. Never to sell it as some legit fender, and if I was ever hard up for cash, Id sell it as the copy it is...just like dudes on ebay will say what they make is a replica.
And plus its a nice and cost effective tribute to a fave artist of mine.

No, I was asking how many people see your collectible basses that you have listed in your profile. But, you have no gigs listed.
Not trying to be rude, but are you jealous of other players who have lesser instruments but have gigs? I would be too
This is not a troll thread at all. But I guess the question does hurt some of those posers with fake Fenders

at the moment I own an SX PJ bass and an SX strat guitar and I am proud of my insturments. If I decide to start customizing these instrument in the future...if I end up with a different neck, it will be an SX neck. And if the neck isnt an SX neck, it will say "Kay Precision bass Special" ...and underneath that it will say "brought to you by SX" to pay homage. I think its whats right for me to do for them giving me such a good platform to start with and I have NO shame in the price or product.

I don't list the gigs I play. It never occurred to me to do that. I really don't see the point.
But since you brought it up, I'm playing a gig in Boston on January 7. If you're thinking of flying in from Tacoma to catch the show, I'll totally put you on the guest list. I figure it's the leat I can do if you're going to travel that far. And just for you, I'll play a real Fender so you can see what one looks like in real life!

personally, i could care less what someone does with their own bass, so i won't defend, or criticize anyone with the exception of those that think that their opinion is more valid than someone else's.
Sorry, have a gig myself that day. I've seen many Fenders and have owned many, thanks. I've never put a different decal on a headstock even!
Before you make some comment about me playing crappy gear, my main is a G&L L-1500.
