Make sure they give you the online price of 799.. For some reason in store they are 850. I got mine new out the door for 730 with a roadrunner gig bag.eveything at gc is negotiable.

I love tort, but if I may, I'd suggest a black pg. A couple other TB'ers have a black pg on that model, and it ties the black blocks together nicely. It looks a lot better that ypu might initally think. Beautiful bass, btw, congrats!

I think you're right! I happened to have a tort guard laying around so I overlaid it on the bass to see what it looked like and to me it looked really cool, but having seen the pics with black, I can't help but agree.

After twenty days with the stock strings I finally threw some flat chromes (chrome flats? :0) on it yesterday. We shall see but to put it in technical terms...."More thump, less zing"........lol.......

That is exactly why I haven't gone to GC.

I've been enjoying all the pics posted by the proud new owners, and have been living vicariously through all of you. So, thanks to all who have posted. And you're not helping my GAS, but that's alright too. :thumbsup:

I love the Seafoam Pearl finish, and I think the sunburst would KILL with a single ply matte black pick guard, and if they keep this model in production I wouldn't mind a Fiesta Red or Daphne Blue finish in Pearl in keeping with this current one.

Come to think of it, metallic sunburst would look sweet................:thumbsup:

I've been singing this bass's praises for the last two months and I finally put $150 down on one Saturday. Believe me, it's going to be really hard having to wait until I can pick it up and bring it home.
They look even better in real life...hard to capture the glow of the Sea Foam Pearl in most pics.
For quite some time I've been telling people about the store price vs. the online price and that GC does discount Fender products despite their disclaimer that they don't.
The salesman at GC actually let me use my 20% off coupon even though it had expired a week before I'd made my purchase.
After buying a new Markbass CMD-121P marked down from $899 to $599 and now this incredible bass I never want to hear anyone put down Guitar Center ever again.

I got mine out the sunday before xmas, sorry I haven't posted or took pics, to busy playing her! Got them to match the $799.00 price, took in a epi les paul that set in the corner for 2 years, a blackstar amp, and a couple old cheap bass's I don't play any more, some how they gave me over $900.00 for that stuff, plus got 10% off for trade in. walked out with my new bass, $230.00, new strings, a dvd, shot glasses, cleaning kit and a tuner for my daughter and new strings for my sons 12 string.. Think I did alright!
Lovin the bass still! Been through a lot of bass's but I honestly think I've finally found the ONE.
