Fender Frankensteins

The body is an 80's Fender P bass as I was told by the seller. I routed the bridge pickup and battery box myself. The neck is a mystery; note that it says 'Franken' on the fender font.

I also have a Fender frankenstein. It is a 1966 body with original neckplate, old nitro refin, added J pickup, 1962 bridge, 1965 precision pickup, allparts neck which was adjusted to fit the body and painted by a guitar builder, old reissue reversed tuners, new pickguard (aged). I really like it.

Here's mine! MIM LPB body, 2011 American std jazz neck and tuners, Original '62 p/u, jazz knobs, Bayou Bros. harness, all black pickguard, neckplate and Dunlop strap buttons. Dummy pickup cover placeholder in bridge p/u route and mini 3-way toggle that is not wired in from a previous arrangement. Weighs 8lbs 3 oz and sounds great!

Here is my first parts build I did recently because I wanted a P Bass. Has a jazz neck someone relabeled as P neck, which I love as I have always played Jazz basses. Tort guard from Pickguardian, Dimarzio P pickups, and Badass bridge.

My 76, the body and neck are original, the knobs, string tree and I think tuners are original as well. Everything else has been swapped including having a brass nut installed and the body I think is refinished. Regardless its about the best P neck I have played on.

I almost picked one of those up a few months ago, MIJ w/white headstock right??? You don't have a pic of headstock so I'm guessing. Nice bass

Yes, that's the one. Fantastic bass. I couldn't justify buying an MIA after trying this one and it being around £600 ($1000) less in price..

I wanted an American PJ bass and the new American Standard Jaguar seemed right up my alley, except that really like maple necks. I have a Select Precision with a flamed maple neck that looks and feels great to me.

So, I bought an American Standard Jaguar body and an American Select Precision neck and married them up. Lastly, I really like black guards, I've put one on all of my basses that didn't come with one stock. I had Tony at Pickguardian make a BWB guard for it. I feel confident that this bass is one of a kind.
