2012 Fender American Select Precision flamed maple neck

Black/White/Black guard from Pickguardian

And fitted with Fender flats.

Nice...I've got a few of those bridges now and man I love them! Better than a BAII imho...

Not as flash as the last few people's posts but it's what I did with my Saturday night...new CV60's Jazz with a Blacktop Jazz neck and the old stock p/u's out of my 60's Classic. Plays great, sounds great, and pretty much assembled out of found objects laying around the house LOL

I bought this off a nice TBer. It has a Geddy Lee neck,Road Worn body, badass bridge, 1/4 pounder pups wired Volume, Blend, Tone. A ballsy J bass for sure.

2002 PJ deluxe (passive) body with a 2014 classic 50s p neck.
Soon to include a badass 2 since the bridge on the body is kinda disgusting and has busted saddle height screws.

Installed the badass. I don't know if the tone is better, but a functional bridge is better than a non functional one. Looks cool too.

My second parts-bass project…: Projekt Blue II!

Here's a list of the parts I've assembled and what I've subjected some of them to;

• Mighty Mite BlueBurst Jazz body. I had it routed into a P/J configuration using as a guide a…
• Fender Blacktop Jazz pickguard (+black screws). Originally, it was black/white/black. That blue/purple scarab effect along the edge comes from a trick I developed using a simple Sharpie permanent marker, same as I did to my Blacktop Jazz bass.
• Black Allparts Control Plate (+Fender Jazz Knobs).
• Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar neck (love the painted headstock+rosewood+blocks!) and Fender "F-Style" neck plate.
• Seymour Duncan SPB-3 Quarter Pounder pickup.
• Fender Super 55's Split-Coil Jazz pickup.
• Stellartone Tonestyler Bass TEN
• Black Hipshot aluminum bridge, Ultralite tuners and Drop-D tuner.
• Ernie Ball Cobalt Strings (45 to 100).
• Black Planet Waves Elliptical End Pin strap buttons.
• Black vintage style string retainer.

Once I had all the parts, I assembled what I could on my own. Then I handed it off to the tech at my local Guitar Center who did the routing, wiring and installed the last of the pieces I didn't trust myself to get right. As always, he did a great job!

Speaking of electronics, I love P/J configurations, but what makes this stand apart from the others I own is the wiring. I decided I wanted to try out a Volume/Blend/Tone(styler) config. So far, it, along with my choice of pickups and strings, have yielded some interesting results. But in the long run, I got what I wanted; a sound that's "beefy" with the extra "bite" from the extra bridge pickup. As an extra, unforeseen bonus, the whole package weighs in at exactly eight pounds.

• Ernie Ball Cobalt Strings (45 to 100).
• Black Planet Waves Elliptical End Pin strap buttons.
• Black vintage style string retainer.

I've updated my further enhancements to "Projekt Blue", mostly involving the wiring harness and tone control. Sadly, I'm putting this lovely creation of mine up for sale. However, I'm working on another mix-and-match Frankenstein, so I'd like to hang onto my number. (less hassle for the club manager, yes?)

1962 Jazz bass neck and 80's (?) Schecter body. I'm always torn about trying to find a real pre-cbs Fender jazz body for her one day, but I love the color and wear of the current body so much. It's heaaaavy though. There's a huge brass control plate in the back.
