Switching (with an ON/Z/ON - ON/ON/ON):
Up: Neck
Middle: Middle
Down: Bridge

This simplicity suits the Cabronita and would be the counter part to the 3-PU Cabronita CS guitar ...

Perhaps you're right! If I'm gonna route one hole, might as well do two! Perhaps contact TV Jones for a matched set of 3 wound to compensate too!

Instead of the mini switch (which might already "too complicated" for a "pure bass") the tone pot could be converted into a 3 or 5 way rotary switch.

I think the "spirit" of the Cabronita is "simpicity" ...
So, the solution can't be a "multipe option" bass. Even with three PUs it would have to be "simple". Okay; the N/M/B mini switch is also simple - but not more ...

3 may be overkill... I doubt I'd use the bridge pup. Aesthetically, it might be nicer without the bridge pup? A little more spartan, perhaps. With 2 pickups, I could wire it with push/pull pots for pickup switching. Maybe pull up to turn off each pickup? I doubt I'd ever smack a knob 'up' by mistake...

if it were me, I'd have three on/off switches, three separate volumes, one tone, maybe one master volume if we want to get fancy

I'm not sure if I'm happy or sad. After lusting after the Parrazo bass I decided to take an old USA Bullet Deluxe neck, a TV Jones Thunderblade, and have a body custom built in Inca Silver. Sounds silly but I am calling it the Silver Bullet. I even found a USA bullet guitar neck and am making a La Cab guitar to match. Now that the cheaper La Cab bass is on the market I'm wondering if I should have waited. Oh well, too far down the road to change now, still looking forward to seeing how it turns out!!

Personally, I think it sounds awesome. You can really get a feel for how gritty the PU is. Along with the headstock, and looks, maybe we have a winner. Now if they can price it reasonably...

I'd like to knowwhat the signal chain was, and, "how much of that tone is amp driven;"
I suspect it's a lot as it's got a fair amount of what sounds like amp grit/grind/distortion.
That aside, I like what I hear. It sounds like with less distortion, it would have enough top end clarity for me.

All amp..listen to the schnizzle at the beginning..sounds like a terrible Line 6 "ampeg product".

Here's a cab tele I made, played as a BU and just sold. a hand picked Squire CV 50's, beautiful LPB, modified Squire PG, a good SC underneath the added ashtray..neck was 1.5/jazz width..upgraded pots, a maple tugbar to match the neck.. Sold it for $225. Got tired of waiting for Fender's idea of what it was supposed to be, and made this (actually modified..) about a year ago. the sound of this bass had a lot more high end than that fender demo too. Put a SD vertically stacked SC in there and you have the best of both worlds for 1/2 the cost of this thing.

..but for some reason, the white maple looked right on the color combo. IOW, I chose a LPB ($200 new at a GC blowout) over the $100 more horrible yellow thing.

If by "gritty" you mean "distorted", yes.
