Fender Player Meteora Bass

It looks really good as a bass. As an HH strat, not so much.

The pickups look like the ones on the fender modern player jazz.

Think about all of the songs you want to play on the easy to access 20th fret!

Interesting. I feel the exact opposite. I like the seemingly ergonomic design of the six-stringer, but the bass seems a bit too unwieldy for my taste. Just my opinion, though!

I like the Meteora.
Not enough to buy one as is, but it might work for some.
Truth is, I can't imagine it being any more successful than this.

Yes, one of the few short-scale basses I consider worth having around.

I'm not a fan of maple fretboards,

Idk maaaan. Horrendous is a bit too far. I'd prefer RW, but look at all the black jazzes and Ps with maple necks. It's a stylistic choice. It's not for me, but its definitely not something new.

I like rw, ebony, maple and others on a block body too but, THAT combination of black/silver burst paint and that neck (fretboard) is HORRENDOUS.
Different strokes…etc…

In the right setting this finish could be SUPER dope. Really cool to see something other than black, white, and standard sunburst.

I find myself agreeing with the people who have said the Fender Starcaster style headstock would have put this design over the top.

I realize Fender calls it Tequila Sunrise, but if they did it as a burst, maybe they could change the name to Comet Burst...better fitting the name Meteora.
As mentioned above, Cosmic Jade is appropriate.
Deep Space Blue would've been nice, too. White metallic could've been Galaxy Cloud.
Wisful thinking, yes, but Fender should've checked with me.
I mean, surely someone there must be aware that G&L has an Andromeda finish, right?

I like it! Glad it’s active/passive. I just went to Fender.com and couldn’t find it. Sweetwater doesn’t have it either. I like the blue one best. Interested! Thanks OP for alerting me to a cool new design. I’d be happy to rotate this with my P’s.

Well I can tell you with a seatbelt strap there is minimal neck dive. Still super easy to play. With a leather strap it has enough resistance and stays upright. F Enders should have done matching head stocks however.

Talking about the ol' wide strap solution? Some people find that rather uncomfortable, and not an acceptable remedy. Here's an idea ... I know it's crazy ... but bear with me ... why not make an instrument that balances as is? Nah, that's crazy talk.

I think a lot of people are assuming this isn’t balanced, but I’m assuming it is, since the lower body is extra offset.
