Yes it has! I essentially saved this bass. Still needs a little work, but it's amazing.Wow, that one's been through a lot of battles!
Although usually a fan of maple boards, I really adore these dark, old, worn in rosewood fretboards!

That case looks right for '64. '60 would have been brown tolex originally - through '62 - followed briefly by white/cream - then the black cases. My '59 P still had the tweed case (AND a very rarely seen original period Fender gigbag - made from the same brown tolex).
Yes I was told it was the original case it came in (but I'm not the original owner).
