Member #37 checking in. My Oly White '63 Jazz got a new playmate last month. An early '59 Precision. I think they pair well 
Good question. I believe the screw holes are slightly smaller on the Fender reissue covers. Looking forward to what others have to say about this.
EDIT: My apologies. I relied on my memory and got it backwards. I store my covers away and hadn’t seen them in a long time. After digging them out of storage, I confirm that the holes are indeed smaller on the covers for both my ‘63 and early ‘65 Jazz. So I totally agree with the follow up comments from others. The 60 to early 65 used smaller pan head screws (flat shaped on the underside of the screw head), so the holes would be smaller and not beveled.
In mid 65 they changed to using pickguard screws for the covers, you would see the holes being beveled and a hair larger.

I reunited my ‘59 with its ‘69 Fender case today. The case has been in storage for over 20 years. I played hundreds of gigs in the 70s with these two, and the case shows it!
I am amazed that the logo stayed on the case!

No, It was restored in 2010 and painted Fiesta Red at that time.
Others may correct me but I think it's the other way around: the older covers having the smaller screw holes.

I will agree with this, my 61 jazz had pan heads and very small holes. Pan head on the control plate too. TIP: The cover never seemed planted in place so I put small oval screws (Gibson size pickguard screws actually) the bevel ‘traps’ the edges of the hole, and somehow it seems stable.
