Fender Rumble Club

:bassist::hyper::bassist: I was being lazy, so when I got My guitar (SG) out I decided to play it through my New Rumble 200 v3 instead of getting out my Guitar amp and holy crap !! Shades of SRV!! The Tone coming out of that 15” was Heavenly. The Rumble series is a clear Winner for being one of “The” BEST amps FENDER HAS EVER PRODUCED!:)
Dey Is Be Good, Yeas :smug:

I like the combo for ease of load/unload-fewer pieces-And I got a deal on my C200. If I coulda gotten comparable deals on heads and cabs, I mighta gone that route.
BTW, hooked up my 17 y/o Bassman 25 to the R112 extension cab. A-frickin'-mazing. The B25 weighs 2# more than the 112!

All of a sudden ppl are showing an interest in them. They might have to make them again. Meanwhile, if ya even Think ya want one, grab 'em and growl.
Very similar to when the V2 112's were disco'd in 2013. Interest spiked. Then the entire Rumble line was being closed out. Winter NAMM 2014 and BAMMO! New V3 Rumbles, and bass world hasn't been the same since.

The fact that my 200C is only 1.5# heavier than my Bassman 25 and 115/175 watts stronger is fairly mind-blowing.

What is a Rumble 100?

:hyper: We have a winner! Yes, @Meghans Dad is the winner of today's Fender Rumble Club Trivia! (And he is someone who reads the fine print. Or, perhaps, he was just questioning a previous, improperly formed answer.)

Congratulations, Meghans Dad. Enjoy your shmillion shmackeroons, which should be delivered to your mailbox on or about the same time as the winning PCH notification.

Thanks to everyone for playing. I hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed bringing it to you. Stay tuned for more fun 'n games from Fender Rumble Club. :hyper:

Is the 12 one of the rumble 112 cabs ? I have one of those , been using it with the Rumble 500 head , i was talking to the store where I got the head , and considering exchanging it towards the Rumble 200 115 combo , keeping my 112 cab to put with it for bigger outdoor stuff , if the 115 combo would handle small to med , bar things by its self , I think I like that idea , but not sure if its the thing to do ?

I went for the head and 2x10 route. Yeah it's exactly what an R500C would be, and I paid more money for it, and it's 8lbs heavier. It's also far louder then what I need, and I like it so much I'd be surprised if I ever replaced the head outside of it dieing. I'm still happy I went for the head and the 500 watt one at that.

For me it's a matter of flexibility. If I want to say use a GK 112 cab, I can. If I want to go super light and use an SVT210AV, I can. If I get a gig where there's a cab there that I can use I only need to bring a 5lb head. Or maybe I find a great deal on a tube amp head, I can use that with my 2x10 cab. I also get to leave my 39lb cab at the drummers, and bring my 5lb head home each week. I almost always play through headphones anyway at home.

As for never needing 500 watts there's nothing wrong with having the extra power there. What does it matter if your master volume is at 10 o'clock instead of 1?

There's nothing wrong with going either route though, the combo does have it's advantages like lighter weight and it costs less because of the trade then picking up a 115/112 cab.

Some Fender (Rumble mentions) love.

See! It's true. Fender Rumbles are the best selling bass amps in the world. I have also been told they are the best selling bass amps in the entire history of bass amplification. I know a lot of people don't want to believe that and are in denial, but the truth is Fender Rumbles are the best.

Got my 500c back from the shop. A NEW 500c. All is right in my world again. Plopped it up on the 115 cab and away I went. It’s bassy. I like it. Can’t wait to get this setup cranked with a drummer. Fantastic warranty service from Fender, even though all they did was replace it. It does seem to have a new version of the logo on the grill cloth.
They did the same for me when my first 100 died. I'm sure it it because it is cheaper to replace than fix.

I agree with having extra power. Rather have more than not enough. For me it was $ considerations first(got a deal on the 200C). If I need the extra, I'll just run through the PA. Our normal audiences like to be able to talk w/o screaming so we're always pretty "quiet":)
