Fender Rumble Club

Well, I have returned from purgatory. I will be trying to find any requests for member numbers that didn't get taken care of in the last 30 days, but If you requested a number and did not get a reply, go ahead and ask again.
I will have to be careful not to respond in kind to direct insults any more.
Howdy! Could I please get a number? Got a 200c and a 500c sooooon, so sooooon...

Question: what is tube bias on my Stage 800?
Which amp model? I haven't noticed any tube bias option, but I've only gone into the Super Bassman and Dual Showman models to that depth of adjustment.

Not to insult anyone's intelligence, but only power tubes can be biased. Increasing the bias (running hot) increases power a bit, but also increases heat and decreases tube life. This allows the pre-amp to more easily overdrive the power tubes into harmonic distortion. The extra heat generated also effects surrounding components and shortens their life also. Not a concern on the Studio 40 or Stage 800 amps.

I really don't know but, here's what the manual says about it. HTH

It is truly astounding the amount of user choice & control Fender has built into the depth of each amp model. It makes it more challenging to learn and adds hither to unavailable parameters of dynamic expression and profuse tone sculpting options. That's not even taking into account the myriad of built in effects.

I see what you did there with that super cool jazz bass hiding in stealth mode. Surely you’ve ran it through the Red Barchetta preset.
Yes indeed I have and it sounds great. I haven’t played through a Showman or many of the other amps that are featured in the presets so I can’t tell if they are accurate representations. That being said, it has been a lot of fun so far going through all the sims and effects.
Sounds decent playing guitar though it as well.

I bought a "like new" Rumble 500 head here. i used to with an 8ohm Eden XST 410 on Saturday. I'm guessing it pushing 350 watts at 8ohms? I ran it with the gain and volume around 1 o'clock all night with plenty of volume and it ran cool as well.

You are correct, sir. 350 watts at 8 ohms, and 500 watts at 4 ohms.

Welcome to the club. Try some of the settings we've collected in the Tone Pool . It's linked on the Wiki page in my signature.
