Thanks for posting these links, will give them a read. Place where I back up some friends at an open mic peroiodically is a small little coverted one room schoolhouse, they generally have a Rumble 40 set up as a backline. I generally find it difficult to get a tone out of it that’s not all nasally souning. I know its got to be in settigs ‘cause I’ve heard other bassist play through it & sound OK.
Other peeps often bring their own gear & set it up so last month I brought my small cab, a Markbass 210 with a GK MB200 & the house guy got his panties all wadded up. I like the GK gear as I find the EQ easy to dial in, other amps are oftentimes fiddly.
