Correction, there, kiri. That's a V2 Rumble and the current version is V3. So you're just one generation behind. The V1 has "fur" covering, which I've never seen in any color but black.

But, you're right, that creamy Rumble looks lovely with the white piano. So, I've added your photo to the Rumble Artwork section of the Wiki. Thank you for sharing!

THAT'S SO COOL :)

Your inquiry can be answered from a basic physics standpoint; more wattage (double), more air movement (double). I think that the 80 watts/2-10" speakers will make for a very nice little mini rig.

Hello!

Yes, I thinks there is a physics answer to this. However, if I understand correctly the little physics that I know, two 40s won’t sound twice as loud as a lone 40.

Curious to know the subjective answer of how much louder they will be combined then alone...

And by the way, does anyone know the physics answer? How much louder will two 40s be compared to one?

Thanks!

I have one Rumble 40 in my possession as of this writing. The second Rumble 40 is due to arrive this coming mid-week. ... ... I am quite excited about it.

I think it'll be a marvelous mini rig. Somewhat similar to @Jeremy Jones Studio 40 and Rumble 40:

... ... I use a Rumble Studio stacked on top of a V3 Rumble 40!!! I connect these by going out the effects send from the Studio to the input of the V3. I found that setup on this site. This setup has worked so well for me this past year ... ... I have included some pics and a link here so you can see what it sounded like.

I would guess if one produced 90 decibels then 2 should be twice as much but I didn't take physics.

I’ve been running my 2 100c’s together. I can say for certain it is noticeable. Double? Hard to say. But in a situation where 1 100c would be getting buried, 2 100c’s are punchy and comfortable.
Just got my Studio 40 up and running. However, going from left send on the 40 to return on the 100, there was nothing from the 100. Tried messing with both gain and Master on the 100 and nothing. Maybe something I need to do in the 40's programming.
UPDATE. Had in the right send. Switched to left and it's working.

The Studio is a Blast BTW. Brings my SG Bass to life. Stage 800 100% if I was ever to play out again.

I believe @G-Dog has mentioned using a Studio 40 as a “head” of sorts, to drive a bigger Rumble combo. Maybe he can shed some light on the proper technique...

He is. I got it working. Downloaded the manual lolol. I'm a kid in the 5 & dime all over again.... Sounds so much better than the R40 I once had. Next, maybe a speaker upgrade.... But not needed for my little music man cave.

I do know there is a lot to learn, as g-dog said to take the time to figure it all out. Back to school again.

... ... How many other R40 owners have changed out the speaker?

We'll probably never know the exact number. But an approximation would be: Lots! See the speaker replacements part of the Modifications Section on the Wiki for several such stories.
.

You would at a minimum be pushing Double the Air. Now that's something. Feeling the breeze baby.

No, changing out the speaker does not necessarily push double the air. I think you're referring to doubling a combo, which will double the air pushed. :D The confusion of overlapping conversations.

Very interesting, LoveJack! So, a single cable from the Studio's Right FX Send to the 100's FX Return does nothing!?! But, hopefully, once the Left is connected, then the Right FX Send will also work the same way (to give stereo sends). I keep meaning to try that, but haven't, yet.

It probably doesn't help that, as you look at the Studio's back panel, the Left loop jacks are on the right and the Right jacks are on the left! Good thing they're labeled R & L, since they're backwards.

Oh, LoveJack, I wouldn't venture with changing the speaker in the Studio, as that might change the voices of the stock presets(!), which are probably tuned for the stock speakers. The Studio's speaker is the exact same as in the R40. But, it also has a tweeter, or high frequency horn, that the R40 doesn't, which is also part of the preset voices. No, I would wait until long after the warranty is up, if then, before doing any mods that could mess with the Studio's meticulously crafted sounds.

A different voice may be what someone wants from the regular Rumble 40, but probably not from the Studio.

That raises an interesting question: the Rumbles generally have a “sound” built into their cabs (just as some other amps do). Does any one know if the Studio and Stage speakers have that sound built-in, or if Fender tried to go with a more neutral speaker setup, given the modeling features of those amps?
