First, Poley, let me thank you for your interest in the Rumble Club Wiki page. It's a labor of love that has just kinda grown like topsy!

Of course, the obvious solution is for me to manually keep a log of changes made, so that you could read it and see if it's anything you're interested in. But, alas, I admit I'm (currently) too lazy to do that for any one of the three wikis I edit. And, just between you and me, most of my edits are spelling corrections or formatting updates with no real change of content. Perhaps I could try to announce the occasional substantive content changes in The Club thread. Yes, I'll try that! Otherwise, perhaps someday I'll be more diligent in that regard.

Meanwhile, I've asked the TB Admins if there is some software device that might facilitate such a update description. If that offers some reasonable help I'll be glad to give it a try.

Again, thanks for your interest and your feedback. Please keep it coming!

Still rocking the twin 500 combos. This thread has grown. I guess the Fender Rumble line will be a classic.

View attachment 1420084 After 3 years of rockin, it was now time to take my Rumble 500 head apart and clean the pots and switches.

All, and I mean all of the pots were staticky when you turned them.

I hit all of them with DeOxit and man, they are better then new.

Anybody have issues with early or late model heads and dirty pots?

I have an early Rumble 500 v3 head. The master pot has sounded scratchy if you play a signal while turning it, which I’m told is a design error. No big deal to me, BUT last night the amp began making the static scratching noise continuously during play whether or not I am turning a knob. I tried using different instrument cables and speaker cables with no relief. I’m going to try cleaning the pots and switches to see that fixes it.

I played a coupla tunes through another guy's SVT/2x810s. The air moved my bell bottoms.(that'll give ya a clue when it was)

It didn't take both cabs or even the SVT. He I am at about that time of which you speak with a V4B and 1 8x10:

Finally getting some tones out of this that I like and are sitting well in the mix with a hard hitting drummer, a guitarist with a 9 string, and some loud angry synths.
Getting that crunch out of it and a 115 cab. woohoo.
Gonna add a 210 or another 115 to this madness sometime soon.

Thanks, @Droopy_TX! Your post in the LT25-Studio-Stage thread has been linked on the Rumble Club Wiki page in the Tone App Support section. I bet I read that, once upon a time, and only remember the point instead of the source.

We recommend you limit usage to either Bluetooth audio streaming OR the Tone app to control your amp presets, so they don’t compete with each other.​

Is that a single 8 ohm 115 cab you're getting your tone out of? In that loud group?? If so, a second cab oughta really punch you through!

Oh, and . . . DON'T FORGET THE EAR PLUGS! If you're lucky, you'll live long enough to wish you took better care of yourself! But, of course, you must, as we all should . . . .

Is that a single 8 ohm 115 cab you're getting your tone out of? In that loud group?? If so, a second cab oughta really punch you through!

Oh, and . . . DON'T FORGET THE EAR PLUGS! If you're lucky, you'll live long enough to wish you took better care of yourself! But, of course, you must, as we all should . . . .

Yep, always have the earplugs, lol. I have sets in my amp bag, gig bag, backpack.. just having a bunch everywhere helps, but really my mom who is mostly deaf from loud concerts and bands and jams and stuff is the biggest reason I'll always use them. And well, working in a loud machine shop environment for most of my life has really cemented that. Granted I live in a huge cleanroom at work these days, its still loud from all the ambient noise of air handelers and stuff. anyways.

The tones were super duper crunchy on the fretless with the Microtubes X going pretty much wide open, a pinch of compression and a light but sharp attack. It sounded a LOT better this go around, got a lot of the flub out of the tone and helped bring a lot of clarity to the tone instead of mud.

To be fair, I worked in construction in my younger days and we built several of the microchip plants for companies that provided chips to Intel and the like. All of them have insane clean rooms with noisy air handlers like that. So chances are, it's not that top secret.

You know, "they" say that vertical stacks of the same, or very similar, speakers gives a beneficial coupling effect that mismatched stacks don't get. And I don't think it's just the "mismatch police" here on TB that says that! I dunno from experience, but that's why some Rumblers like to stack two 210s, for the added dbs and greater dispersion than a normal 410. Just sumpin' to consider.

Nope! No! Sorry I brung it up!! Forget I said anything! I've seen quite enough purported satellite photos that look just like low level (I mean toy drone level) hi res photos to keep me paranoid about ever skinny-dipping again. Nobody wants to see that and I don't want anyone to lose their lunch.

See, I tend to go the exact opposite, especially when I step into those airport scanners. You wanna see all this, you asked for it!
