Right, that is interesting. Our amp settings are very similar. But the Mikro is so trebly and bright to begin with that I don’t need to brighten it up. The contour button sounds great on it.

I agree. The vintage setting tends to make my 1993 Jazz bass (usually with both pickups full on or neck pickup fill and bridge pickup slightly backed off) muddy. It does not work well at all with my 1993 MIM stock P-Bass.
I have used the contour with bright buttons combined with backing off the bass EQ a bit but only in very very low volume situations where I don't have much low-end coming from any percussion (or no percussion). Sort-of like a loudness control on a home stereo.
I am ready to be a Rumble Club member.Here is my Rumble 25 and Rumble 100, which I got just a few weeks ago. It was in the band trailer, but with this health safety hiatus I brought it home because I haven't had a chance to play around with it, though I have gigged with it quite a bit. Bright switch is good if you are playing a guitar through it.

Hey thanks for the official #... I started with a Rumble 40 when bought my first bass about 2 years ago at the advanced age of 56- but then upgraded to a used (but in very nice condition) 500 about a year later when I figured I might eventually be able to escape the home office to play with others and would need something with some more firepower. That dream has been realized about 6 months ago- I have since formed a once a month rehearsing band, and absolutely love how lightweight this guy is. I am not the biggest guy, but this thing is easily loaded and unloaded in the trunk of my car and carted a short distance without straining my back!
Oh, well, you're still a bit of a Rumble newby, then! You might be interested in trying several of the sound settings listed in the Rumble Club TONE POOL linked on the Rumble Club Wiki page. It's really a very versatile amp!

I have the rumble 15 v3 and it sounds like poopie... i rather like my other rumble 100 v1, with the red light to be supercool. Great power the 100w beast
