Fender Rumble Club

View attachment 3832823 The 25 over the 100 makes a neat little stack with the 25 looking close in size to the 100
At the moment I have the R40 atop the R100. The chain is Bass>EHX Micro POG, dry signal to 100, efx signal(1 octave up)to 40. Amps EQ'ed differently; gives effect of bass and guitar playing unison line.[ignore clutter-I do]

Very cool, GP. I also use the MicroPOG, to double myself an octave apart, but it's all outta the same amp (my Rumble 40). It must be really nice having each octave coming through a separate amp.
I had been playing out of one amp(R100 or 200c). This was an experiment to hear how it would sound outta 2 differently EQ'ed amps. I like it and it takes up no extra floor space. Fairly easy additional schep. If we ever get back to gigging, I may try it in public. The 100(or 200)is set B-10ish, LM&HM-2ish, Tr-10. The 40 is Bright in, B-~9, LM-12, HM-2, Tr-12.

I recently bought a Rumble 800 Stage/Modelling Combo (2x10) and modified my Rumble 100 Combo so I can use it as intended or as an extension cab (1x12 upgraded to Eminence Delta 400w). View attachment 3834065

I had a Fender BXR 100 that I lugged around for years and a little Ampeg BA 8 practice amp. I finally got tired of carrying the BXR and decided to sell both my amps and get the Rumble 100 I had read so much about. It's a great amp, perfect for the small Tiki Bar circuit here in SWFL. Recently I've joined a more "dynamic" cover band that requires a bigger sound (Rare Earth, Ides of March, et Al) and almost bought a Rumble 500 when I found a sweet deal on a floor model 800 on Reverb. Couldn't resist! Modifying the 100 seemed like a great (cheap) way to supplement the 800's 2x10 cab. Someday I might get a 2x10 or maybe 4x10 extension cab but, for now I'm set.

I did this not long ago with my R200cV3 and Peavy 112 eCoustic. Fun! The octave up really highlights any off pitch fingering on the fretless. One amp on either side of the room, interesting effect.

Allow me to contribute a Rumble-to-the-rescue story. Before the bad times came along, we had a series of shows in the little courtyard in front of a landmark breakfast joint. It used to be an all-hours place where we would have after-parties starting around 2:30 am. The band, half a dozen roadies and a few friends would get a few tables pushed together and let the ringing in our ears subside before trying to sleep.

The owners recently sold the place and my drummer convinced the new owner to let us do our thing. I'm hear to say that a Rumble "bedroom" stack was sufficient even with the band spread out around the sign poles and the plants. The first couple of times, I volunteered my PA but that got old quickly. Load out, load in, load out, load in, set up everything for living room use again. It's not "my job" after all. I handed it off to my drummer 'cause it's his woman front and center.

People could rock out between us and the front windows or chill out in the counter seating for reduced volume. The first four gigs went great. It was the fifth of six dates when we had a little malfunction with the PA. We sent someone to the drummers house for a replacement part but that was going to be a good half-hour/45 minutes before we could get back on line. I plugged the girl's mic into the R40 and we gave it a go.

Weak vocals. Next song, I plugged her into the R100 and it was just sufficient. My little 40 was struggling to do justice to bass outdoors but it could be heard if not felt. Everyone kind of backed off a little as we went without monitors but the crowd got what they came for.

Ten ... HUT! [Salute] It's a pleasure to have you with us, general, sir. @Bassmaster general, you are now member #1221 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome to our ranks. Make yourself at home here and in the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature, which includes the Tone Pool listing of various settings for various sounds. It would be cool to get some of your Rumble V2 settings added to to the list (if not already).

That Rumble 350 head is a great amp and, together with that 2x8" Neo cab, makes an awesome rig. Please tell us of your Rumble journey, sir. Then, we will patiently await your order to . . . .

Rumble On!
