Fender Rumble Club

Welcome back, Bobby, Rumbler #960. When did you add the 40? You should put your Rumble number in your signature to keep from forgetting it! ;) My ol' timers comes with the CRS symptom, too.

Sorry, I can't give you another number for every Rumble you own, though. Shoot! That way Gravedigger Dav would have quite a stack of numbers! :woot:
.

Sorry, G-Dog, I must be losing it at an alarming rate. I'll add both the 40 (left to me in a friend's will) and the number. Thanks for keeping me straight.

Condolences, Bob. I, too, have lost some valued musical friends. The latest, who literally changed my life by hounding me to come to his weekly Jam Nights many years ago, passed this last December. His family originally planned an appropriate musical memorial, but various schedules for travel put it in mid-April this year! Then The Mess postponed it again to late June!! And now this very deserving man's memorial is on hold indefinitely!!! :banghead:

Very sorry to hear that, G. My condolences.

Hey, Stevie, that's a great start! @Stephen Davis, you are now member #1198 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Make yourself at home here and on the Rumble Club Wiki page, linked in my signature, where you'll find almost anything you could ever hope to know about Rumbles!

Please tell us more of your Rumblings and bass quest. But don't hesitate to ask any questions you may have. We're here to help! And do continue to . . . .

Rumble On!
..
.

I play through a Rumble 25. I only play at home and this amp really does the job. I shake the house and make the China jump with it on less than a quarter turn. If I hit the compression I have to turn it down from there. Don't think I need the Rumble 500 combo that I have been GAS for. I also would like a number please.

Howdy, Stephie! Welcome back, Rumbler #1198. As much as I'd like to give you another number, alas, only one number to a member is the policy. Put your Rumble number in your signature, like your Epi number is, and you won't forget it. Plus you'll be instantly recognized as a person of distinction!
.

Howdy @G-Dog!
As promised, here are the pictures proving my ownership of a freaking awesome Fender Rumble Studio 40 - I respectfully request membership into this most august of clubs. I will proudly add my number to my signature and preach the Gospel of Rumbleness to all!

Of course Davie504 requested I SLAP IT, but I needed the correct setting:

Respectfully submitted,

This is to anyone who has the 200c, 500c or 800c and uses the 210 ext cab
Does it feel sturdy when stacked?
I just got the 800c and will be purchasing the 210 cab next week and was wondering if they stack nicely and safely or not

Thanks for any help in advance

It Does feel quite sturdy when stacked! I just got the covers for my 500c and 210 cab yesterday

After a few years of happily playing through a V3 Rumble 25 (best $100 I've ever spent), I've finally taken the plunge and added a Rumble 100 to the music room-- delivered today via Sweetwater. Justified the purchase as a lightweight, mid-power amp with effects send/return and XLR output will be useful at our little church, and smaller gigs.

With subtle tweaking of the master/gain and OD circuit, I've got it set to simply plug and play! :D The little "vintage" switch sounds great with my G&L in single coil mode, though I like the tone better without it engaged when playing my main squeeze.

Yeah, it's missing an "active" input, and my Rays' are pretty hot, so to compensate I just roll back on the instrument's volume a bit. That OD circuit is a joy to play with as well. Being that I appreciate simple, straightforward gear, this amp is sure to become a favorite rivaling even that of my little-mighty-25 :bassist:

My only gripe is with the placement of the knobs; sure would be nice if they were closer to the front, rather than the back... however, what's lost in functional convienance is regained through style-- this is one good looking box capable of doubling as a stool during warmups and early mornings waiting on the drummer

Overall, what a great amp at a reasonable price-- Happy day, happy day! :D

Congratulations! The Rumble 100 is a great amp!

Incidentally, the reason it doesn’t have an «active» input is that it doesn’t need one. Just use the Gain control to adjust the input gain. It has exactly the same effect, but better, since it’s variable, and can be tailored to suit the bass you’re playing.

The form factor is a matter of taste, but it’s a fairly common one on amps these days. I rather like it myself, since I find that the top-mounted controls are easier to see and adjust. They’re also out of harm’s way on stage. The only drawback is that it’s riskier to put down your beer on top of the amp, but you shouldn’t really do that anyway! :)

Woo hoo, congrats! I’ve had 2+ years of faithful service from my 100, it’s a beast! It does all my rehearsals, jams and many a small gig. (Even medium gigs with PA support)

+1 on just turning the gain down. It’s not like other gain knobs, referred to as a “variable input pad.” Id guess maybe 9:00 is a good starting point.

And try out setting the EQ to 10/2/2/10. You’ll thank me later ;)

Enjoy!
