Welp, I traded in my Rumble 500H today. Kept the 210 though!
I got to compare my 500H to a new 800HD and a Traynor Small Block 200H. I preferred the Traynor to them all but I must say Fender actually made the Rumble much better with the 800HD! Quieter, more power, warmer and fuller sound, and better looks. It's a pretty solid upgrade.

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I've posted here on TB, but I recently picked up a Rumble 115 cab from reading through everyone's posts here (to go with my 500c) and thought I'd ask for a number and join up!
For some of my background, I have been playing bass for almost 20 years now, mostly at church, with the occasional jam or wedding or gig with folks around the KC (Kansas City) area. I have 4 little kids now so the jams and gigs are pretty infrequent these days, but a couple weeks ago we played outside at a car show and I got a chance to crank up the combo and ext cab and it felt/sounded great! Required pics below

On another happy note my Rumble has passed the speakers test. It is definitely fine.
Maybe I was hearing things when I went straight into the amp or maybe I'm hearing things today. Today I could hear the slightest distortion on low notes (though this time consistently and made worse with more volume into the pedal) through my compressor. So I had 2 Boss pedals go on me at once I guess. Oh well, at least one of them should be covered by warranty still.
I'm still a bit confused and wondering if I'm the second person who had intermittent distortion which was fixed by opening the amp and reseating the cables inside. Today's issue didn't seem like last nights so I'm going to go ahead and say it at least helped! I'm happy everything was resolved. I'm just confused as to what exactly happened and how I fixed it.
I've had something similar happen a few times. Couldn't work out what the hell was causing the distorted noise. Tested all cables, pedals. I just unplugged everything.
Next day put the pedal chain all back together and things were fine again. I don't know if there's some voodoo between the inboard OD and gain knob? I now use a separate OD pedal and don't touch the rumble switch.

Greeting, Ed-ward! That's an awesome stack that oughta handle pretty much anything! @eddie16, you are now member #1363 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Put that number in your TB Signature for safe keeping. And you should freely browse your Rumble Club Wiki page of all assembled Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

@eddie16 Love that bass you have. Can I jut say, and this may be controversial, I love that your set up stage right. That’s where I like to be. Many people insist we should be stage left. Here's a short list of stage right bassist:
John Entwistle, John Paul Jones, Jack Bruce, Billy Sheehan, Flea, Geezer Butler, John Mcvie, Michael Anthony, Roger Glover. So your in good company!

I've always preferred stage right but when we first played, I was just slightly stage left, with the 2 guitarists on each side of me. Keyboards were set up far stage right. We had a lot of room, as it was an outdoor setup.
I’m stage “wherever they decide to set me up this week”.
I prefer stage left, therefore, most of the places we play(ed), I'm stage right outta some necessity-such as leader needing to to be stage left. No real BFD.
I apologize because I think I asked for a club number once before...
I've just ordered another Rumble combo. Over the years I had two of the originals (red pulsing LEDs) in 60 Watts and 75? In the version 3 line, I've been working my way up and down from Rumble 40 to 200 to 100 to 25 and finally Rumble 15. I upgraded from 40 Watts to 200 for bar gigs, using it for 2+ years. When I left the band I downsized to 100 then realized it was too much for at home use so went down to 25. I have 3 projects on the go, one is 2 acoustics and a keyboard, no drums. I only need 15 Watts and weight is a major consideration for grab and go purposes.
If I didn't already ask, may I have a number? thanks.

Stage right is my preference.
Andrew, my man! Rumbler #1284. You got your Rumbling number back in January, when you showed us some pix! And then we haven't seen you again, 'til now. You either didn't see it, or you just forgot to put it in your TB Signature for safe keeping!

The only reason I prefer stage left is the high freq hearing loss in the left ear that I suffered in the Army. I'm 0% service-connected for that "disability".
If playing with a drummer, I greatly prefer stage left. I have a better view of their bass drum pedal and high hat, in case I can't hear those clearly. And the drummer is usually facing a bit to his/her left for better eye contact. And last, on a tight stage, if I'm stage right there's a greater chance of the head stock on my bass hitting a cymbal. The Rumbles sound good on either side.
