Rats. No photos in an album or box?Sorry Miles. Alas they are no longer with us - not sure how they came to their demise. It was getting on for half a century ago that they were made.
Bought a Rumble 100 today. About 15 days in to my bass playing journey!

Augh! Another lefty! I'm continually being surrounded by lefties, besides my wife, one son and one daughter!!
Itza, you should checkout The Lefty Union here on TB and other Clubs & Special Interest Groups. Augh! Even @Polish Thunder is a lefty!! Augh!!!

It's a constant challenge.
This goes back a few weeks but, correct me if I'm mistaken, I don't think it (they) got answered. Let's take a look at the Rumble 800 HD block diagram:
A. The pre/post switch is downstream of the effects loop, so it has no affect on the effects loop. When you think about it, if the switch removed the pre signal then there'd be no FX for the FX Send to send, it would simply be the input signal (bass DI).
A.1. The pre/post switch is immediately upstream of the XLR Line Out, so that is all it affects.2. The master is also downstream of the effects loop, so it has no affect on the effects loop. If you connect this FX Send to another amp's FX Return you can only control the second amp's volume if it, also, has a master downsteam of its effects loop! If not, (like most Rumbles) then the second amp will always play at some preset, unadjustable volume!!
A. 2. Most other Rumbles don't have this switch, so their Line Out is always post EQ.
2. a. This, and the pre/post switch, was often requested here by Rumblers whose amps didn't have them. And, Fender listened, so there you go!!Hope this helps.
2. b. Most other Rumbles don't have this post loop/post line out master, so their Line Out is always post EQ & post master. (I always want my EQ & master in the line out.) Most other Rumbles also have the master before the effects loop, so connecting a second amp by FX Send to FX Return totally controls the second amp from the first! Easy, peasey.

Sorry I was a few days late noticing this, and I still have some questions (though you did a good job of explaining certain things). ... ...
... ... If the pre switch is activatedIcan (I) raise my 800 hd's master volume to my cab without raising the volume to the sound engineer's set up? ... ...
... ... If the pre switch is activated ... Will I lose the 800 hd's overdrive channel if I do this?
Bear in mind you’re working with passive, analog hardware. Your ears are way better than a tic mark. IMO You’ll learn more about how to use it, faster that way. (And I say that as an educator who teaches skill acquisitionI will definitely consider it. It's hard to tell the level with current knobs.
Beautiful, mine's not LH but I have a Squier CV 70s jazz bass in that same natural finish along with my R100...love both...I also added a speaker out to my little Rumble LT25 (Rumble 25 with effects and digital display) and play it through a 1x12 vented auto sub cabinet with an Eminence Beta 12A2 which sounds pretty good with the little rumble's effects (and loud too for 25 watts playing at home). So, a bit of versatility, my CV came with the black knobs which I like...Bass included now. LH Squier VM Jazz. Was the only LH in the store but I'm happy with it.View attachment 4331185

The master is downstream of the XLR Line Out and of the pre/post switch which, per A.1. above, affects only the XLR Line Out signal. So, regardless of the position of the pre/post switch, you can always raise or lower the master without any change to the XLR Line Out signal going to the sound engineer's setup. The master affects only the volume to the headphones or speaker(s), but not the XLR Line Out volume.
The Rumble 800 HD has only one channel, like all 21st century Rumbles. The overdrive is just one part of the EQ pre signal. Per A.1. above, the pre/post switch affects only the XLR Line Out. Therefore, only the XLR Line Out signal to the sound engineer's setup can "lose" the overdrive, along with all the other EQ pre effects (all or nothing). Your headphones or speaker(s) will always get all your EQ pre effects.
Please, feel free to ask more clarifying questions.

Something I'm curious about... This block diagram is a bit different to one I've seen for the Rumble 100 (as you would expect it to be). One difference I notice is the position of the master volume control. As has been pointed out, on the model discussed here the master control after the line out, but on the diagram I have seen for the 100 it is before the line out. Does anyone know if this is true of all Rumble 100's or did that change at some point in time.I think I finally got it. Thank you so much, you really know your stuff. Now I'm curious as to what the signal (from XLR) would sound like without the EQ and pre EQ effects... I guess I'll figure this out when I work my way out of the house/garage, and into a place with a sound engineer![]()
