Fender Rumble Club

Thanks for the input. Do you favor any particular brand or type of power protection?

If you are asking me, any qualified surge/brown out protection would be fine for an amp. The Furman is a good one. In the case of an expensive RV, I would recommend a high end controller that shuts of all power before damage results ($200+).

Congrats @Polish Thunder !!!
Have not done my 1st bass gig yet but have some gigging experience through the years.
i could be wrong. There are many here with more gigging experience than me. But I notice the plug on the wall. Hopefully your not plugging in to that directly. Always use a power conditioner to protect against line surges and line noise. I always did with PAs and light systems I owned and the guitar players I played with always did.
But you may be doing that there. Just thought I’d mention it. Am I off bass guys?
But again. Congrats! Any insights to share?

Good eye. I have a surge protector power strip in my gig bag that I would have plugged into. In the case last night, there is a surge protector (supplied by the guitarist) hidden behind the guitarist's Victoria amp that I plugged into.

Good advice to follow....

Hey Rumblers- can anyone help me here.

I now have 2 Rumble 100 combos. I read somewhere here how you could hook 2 combos together.

If I remember right - you hook a cable between the main combo effect loop out to the other combo effects loop in??????????? And that way the controls on the first combo work the second combo. Is this correct or how do I do it.

Help so I do not have to go and read every post again.

That is how I recall it, definitely on the wiki pages and just scroll through the last couple of days posts and you will find it with regard to two R200c and or R500c amps

Short answer: yes. Check out the Rumble Club Wiki. It gives ya all kinds of helpful info.

Effects out on the primary amp to effects in on the secondary amp. The gain and eq on the primary amp controls both. You'll need to adjust the main level on the secondary amp to be similar to the primary level out.
IIRC, the only control that works on the secondary Rumble is the on/off switch(and tweeter switch-if applicable).

Here's how 2 v3 R100 combos can chain together to get 100watts + 100watts. This is the physical connection:

This is the logical diagram (modified from page 10 of the OWNER'S MANUAL):

The little switch built into the EFFECTS RETURN jack (A) disconnects everything above the blue line, which includes every user-adjustable control including overdrive, three little tone profile buttons, all the knobs. Every user-adjustable control setting on the master (SEND) amp is sent to both amps -- master and slave.

As an aside, there is a lot of Rumble magic happening between the FX RETURN and the POWER AMP, but we users have no control over that. There's some pretty impressive magic in the SPEAKER CABINET SIMULATOR circuitry (B) which allows Fender to use inexpensive and light cabinets to produce that big sound we find so addictive!

You got it exactly right, Len! There's a special Connecting Combos Together section of your Rumble Club Wiki page.

Nope, Craig! On the non-modeling Rumble combos this method of connecting them bypasses all controls on the secondary amp! The primary totally controls both, as if they were one. The secondary acts as just a powered speaker.
