Fender Rumble Club

Just to get this thread sort of back on topic, I'll share a photo I took that I planned on posting tomorrow for Fender Friday. It's of a ad poster hanging in a Maje of Paris store in the market square in the city center where I live. A Jazz and a Tellie! And for those who didn't notice, a model, too. ;)

Cheesy Pete! I hope it's just the camera's fisheye lens and those guitars don't really need the serious truss-rod adjustments it appears!

I won't comment on what the other model may need with that see-through lace! :wideyed:

I [take] your point, but in this case, it was old tech that the newbies couldn't figure out. I'm sure there are other stories along that line, too. For example, I worked with a senior guy at Amoco when I worked for the Pipeline company designing SCADA products. He wouldn't retire, so management replaced him with a couple of newbies. He was too close to retirement for the company to axe him, so he just sat in his office assembling ships inside of bottles (and getting paid 6 figures for it (in the mid '80s!)). Of course, a serious problem arose on a major pipeline running from Texas up to the refinery in Whiting, IN that the newbies were clueless about and couldn't resolve it. They finally asked for his help. He solved the problem in minutes...and retired the next day, once he knew that the company knew that they needed him! :roflmao:

"Fire old tech to Uagh." Moral of the stories is that old people don't get that way without knowing a thing or two, 'cause they've usually seen a thing or two. ;)

Also going back on topic: The new Adam Clayton ACB 50 bass amp has disappeared from the Fender website! What? Are they rethinking it already?

Whoa…this is pretty exciting too!

the Rumble 800 COMBO links

Tube with a NEO 15”. B-15 anyone?

The original link no longer works and a search doesn't find it, either!

But the link to the ACB 50 manual still works, though the PDF no longer has the review page up front, nor does it contain any languages other than English! :jawdrop:

The ACB 50 had been pulled from the Fender website

Well, not absolutely entirely, mat. See my comments above.

Thank goodness, your Wiki on the Rumble 800 COMBO links still work ... ... ... for now!! :woot:

I'm gonna take a wild guess: someone 'jumped the gun'. Oopsie!

Was it on there? When I first saw mention of it, I went to the Fender web site and it wasn't there. I didn't find any of the usual retail suspects showed it available, either.

Yeah, Gravey, that's just it. It was* there! That's where @BigDrew and I got these pix, which I can no longer find anywhere.

How's about something we can axially see?

Even Goggle retains a search "hit", but that link, too, is broken!!

Yep, Goner, a likely possibility.

* "was" being the operative word.

I hadn't noticed the necks before. You're right. Holy smokes, they look like crescent moons.

But that error message! It should be a lyric!

Hello, I'm Gabe and I buy too much gear. I'd like to join the Rumble club. I've had a F.R.40 for years, and have always loved it. Recently purchased a Stage 800 combo +210 cab. So far its incredible. Unlimited tonal possibilities, and all around fun. Have not played it with full band in a live setting. Any advice or warnings would be appreciated.

Welcome to another episode of Gear Anonymous! @gabe878, you are now member #1535 in the Fender Rumble Club. Congratulations and welcome. Please put that number in your TalkBass Signature for safe keeping. Then make yourself at home here and on your Rumble Club Wiki page, the repository of all Rumbling wisdom and knowledge.

But, for questions, answers and discussions about the bass modeling Rumbles, please use your Rumble LT25, Studio & Stage sub-thread in order to keep this main Club thread less complicated for the non-modeling Rumblers. OK? ;)

So, gabe, gable, or gabriel, tell us a bit about yourself, such as your bass experience in general and your Rumble journey in particular. Whatever your situation you're bound to fit right in here, 'cause we have all kinds! But we all love to ... ... ...

Rumble On!
.

Finally got my bass in and had a chance to give the rumble a fair play. Extremely impressed with this little 100w combo and was reassured that I made the right choice for a home practice amp. Bass sounds great even with the stock pups but SD antiquities or PV 74’s are on the horizon.. View attachment 4817152

SA-WEET! Recently bo't a Mod Shop build with the PV '74's. LOVE'EM LOVE'EM LOVE'EM!
