Fender Rumble Club

The Element is fine, there are a couple of cabinets installed, but none of them gives me a satisfyingly pleasant tone. It's hard to describe, but that wooden tone Fender produces is one of my all time favourites. I was hoping someone would know an impulse response / cabinet simulation that reproduces that tone.

Thanks. Now I get it.

Yep this was my experience as I posted back in September when I chained a “newer” R100 with with an “older” one. This includes when running a pedal into the return on a “newer” combo. The master volume is still operable where in an “older” combo it is not.
I own a Rumble 100 (without the pre-post switch). I use it for band rehearsal, and I'm really impressed with the sound and performance (and how easy it is to schlep up and down the narrow basement stairs ).

I am really interested to hear if anyone (EncoremMP?) who has experience with both the "old" and "new" versions has found any difference in performance between the two models.

Most folks who have two Rumble 100s seem to have either two with the switch,or two without the switch. The main difference between the two (other than the switch) appears to be use of an alternative amplifier module, which requires a lower-impedance version of the original Jensen driver to output 100 watts.

I would assume the designers have optimized the "new" version to be comparable in performance to the "old", but is there an audible difference in tone or volume/dynamics between the two?

I'm specifically interested in use in LIVE performance or rehearsal (full volume rather than "bedroom" levels), and use as a stand-alone amp rather than connected to a PA. And use as a SINGLE amp rather than daisy-chained.

How about it - have you noticed a difference?

Right on, Kenny! I, too, am curious as to any audible differences between what I have come to think of as the R100 V3a (without Pre/Post switch) and the R100 V3b (with Pre/Post switch). BTW, it is my belief that both are still being produced, and that the V3b may be discontinued at any time, without warning, as just a temporary supply fix. [Warning to collectors?]

Small point of order, Ken, the R100 V3a never had a Jensen speaker, but always an Eminence Special Design speaker, as are all the V3 speakers 40 and up.

You know, there's just got to be some different (proprietary) spec.s in the V3b that could, possibly, provide some audible differences from the V3a. After all, how identical could an 8 ohm speaker and a 4 ohm speaker even conceivably be? And then, too, how comparable can a older used V3a be to a new pre-break-in V3b even be, huh? But, I have great faith that 7ender and Eminence have cooperated to make them as close as reasonably possible to each other. But, yeah, I'd be glad to hear comparisons between them.

It would be my expectation that there may be a couple of small differences that might be heard in a lab-type environment. But, IMO, I'd be very surprised to hear any reports of any significant differences in LIVE performances.

So, please, yes, let's hear from the reviewers of the original V3a (w/o P/P) versus the V3b (with P/P).

There are huge discount on Rumble V3 on certain country ....... does it means the Rumble V4 will launch soon ?

Just seeing the normal 10% discounts here online. 😕 Plus, they don't always try to blow out old stock when they introduce new models, especially with such winners as the Rumble V3 has been.

But, NAMM 2025 starts today in Anaheim, California. That'd be the perfect time & place to make such an announcement! 🧐

And, 7ender does not have a traditional booth at NAMM this year, but a big meeting room instead. They say this is to avoid the traditional hit-&-run booth type interaction and to encourage more in-depth business type discussions. 🤔 But it would certainly be conducive to any such major presentation as a Rumble V4 would undoubtedly be! 🤗

We shall see what we shall see.

In a side by side comparison between the V3a and V3b R100, I can’t really tell a discernible difference. the newer R100 sounds like my older one.

Hmmm, ... NO difference at all?!? Gee, sounds like my kinda ears. I can't hear any difference between my R500c 2x10" ferrite speakers and my Bassman 115 Neo speaker, while others can hear differences in both sizes and magnets! 🥴

That's what I would expect. I realize others expected something different. But the same speaker except 4 ohms in the same cab with essentially the same electronics? Essentially the same sound.

That prove Fender has consistent tonal from announce years until current day.

But my Ampeg RB112 has different story once Ampeg change China Eminence driver to Lavoce driver. The Eminence driver sound more like SVT with SGT engage , meanwhile Lavoce driver more close to B15 tonal.
