If the R500c stacked on the R115 cab doesn't bother your visual OCD, then don't worry about the looks with this cab. And the Rumble V3 410 cab is 62.5 lb.s, so that's just 5.5 lb.s more. Not too shabby!! Only concern is why the low price!?! How is it not too good to be true?​

I should've been more detailed about the disguistingness of the deal.
My band mate works for an OEM. Every now and then they do a 'garage sale' for employees only. It was BNIB!!! Plus, luck o' the Irish! ;)

Thanks for your insight. The SPL is something I didn't know how to define. I'll chew on that.

I figured there would be more headroom and that the Rumble would barely push this cab but still, 500W total is definitely good for my needs.
I play with one guitarist who rocks the Peavy 6505 at 150 Watts.

thanks for reminding me about the weight on the Rumble V3 410! I was thinking about picking one up and was hunting for a deal, just to match the 500. Then this opportunity for the Ampeg Pro Neo 410 popped up.

I'll let y'all know how it goes!

Hmmm... 🤔 More "disguistingness" about just who your bandmate works for, if not Ampeg or Yamaha, but nevermind that. BNIB should be awesome! So, is it still under Ampeg's warranty?​

The additional decibels of Sound Pressure Level is due to the 410 having more speaker area than the 115. It'll probably be more of a "feel" near the cab than actual perceivable volume in the room, though.​

Depending on that "feel" near the cab, it may seem like more headroom. But a cab doesn't really give your amp any more power, which is where headroom comes from.​

The Rumble 210 cab is on the way. As I told my sales rep today...I've been playing bass for almost 50 years. In the last couple weeks (since I got my Rumble 800c) I've had SEVERAL gals ask me what kind of AMP I am using. Let that sink in...FEMALES...asking a BASS player WHAT KIND OF AMP I AM USING. No women have EVER asked anything about any of my gear...let alone my AMP. If that doesn't sell some product, I dunno WHAT will....anyway, very excited to see what this years Holiday season will bring w/ the Rumble stack at my back for the attack!

Well... I did a thing...
A Rumble 200C thing....

I sold my 100C. I wasn't really liking the sound of the 12" speaker, and missed the 200C with a 15" I had awhile ago.
For some reason I seem to like 10" and 15" speakers, but not 12".

The only time I liked 12"s is when I had a Rickenbacker 4001, and that thing sounded great though an SVT with a V4 4x12 cabinet.

I still have my 500C, so I seem to be covered for awhile! :)

Don't know if I'll ever have a need to daisy chain them, but good to know the horsepower is there if needed!

Just pointing out, different 12" driver models are going to sound anywhere from a little bit different to very different!

Driver size doesn't necessarily mean as much as some people (not saying, you) attribute to it.

There are certain 10" drivers that sound more like a typical 15" driver and there are certain 15" drivers that sound more like a typical 10" driver.

Whatever works! I find a sock in one port of my R100 works wonder, but daisy chaining a second is monstrous. I need to try a 200, though.

Yes. Exactly.

For the frequencies I like to produce, I've found 15s or 10's preferable depending on amp, driver and cabinet design.

I've also used 18" speakers that sounded great in folded horn cabinets. Acoustic head with an 18 folded horn cabinet is a very cool thing.

It's the driver and the cabinet that make it is what it is.

I didn't mean to say all 12" are bad. They're not. I have just found them to have a weird middle ground -that doesn't cover the range I want to hear.

I also come from an era where Ampeg SVT, acoustic, and Sunns roamed the earth regularly.

I'm always open to trying new things and adapting to new ideas.

I wanted to give the rumble 100 a shot, and it was good -but not my cup of tea. The light weight was great, but the sound was lacking for what I'm after. Even as a practice amp-which is what I bought it for.

Interesting how the 500c and the 200c sound very similar. They are close.

The 200 is a little les Hi fi when I need it. Meaning old school.

I like both the lofi and modern sound. It just depends on what I'm after at the time.

I was a SWR player for along time too, 2x10 or 4x10 so there is that.

My evolution was-Ampeg SVT-Acoustic/Sunn-Ampeg/Acoustic-SWR-Ampeg combo -then the Rumbles.

Anyway, I'll have to try the modern 12 cabinets at some point. Maybe I'm missing something that I'm unaware of.

Thanks. Yeah, I tried blocking the port, and adding foam. Still didn't do it for me.

After having it for a bit, I'd get annoyed when using it. I don't want to have to think about the gear I use.

I love tech and gadgets, but when it comes to bass gear- I'm a caveman. Simple and no frills. If it doesn't sound good at a "flat" setting -it's not for me. Of course I'll adjust settings as necessary, but I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to get the sound I'm after.

Interesting. I'm about to sell my 200c 'cos I prefer the sound of the 12 in my R100.
