Fender Rumble Club

It’s sooo good. B15 setting is just a bit dark for my taste.
But it does sound like the real deal. :)

Yes...it actually IS Cheap Trick's best song ;) IMO, of course! I could listen to it daily! But Im a huge CT fan. ... ... ..., now back to our usual Rumbling...
Tweetchie zone. My favorite CT song(cover)is "Ain't That A Shame": CT's typical "noise" behind Robin's almost soft vocals is an amazing dichotomy.
Gig last night(Saturday). It's at a place where space and pay mean we do it as a trio. ... ... .... He's a "jazz guy" and if that's the sound he wants, more power to him. But it doesn't really fit our music-60s/70s rock and country. Oh, well, tweetchie zone.
My guess(totally uninformed)is that things are slow in the music biz. ... ... ... I get the sound(s) I want-w/o breaking my back-outta my Rumbles. Until someone builds something that sounds better, I'll stick with them. Tweetchie zone.
7ender for amps; Gibson for basses.

I find my R40 sits nicely with my AC15-C1X and/or my Fender 6G2 Brownface ... ... ... The R100 might work with the pair of amps, played overdriven, but I think ... ... ... . The o/d circuit on all 3 is used as a 'mute' function.
Tweetchie zone.

*also a 2000 Bassman 25. Coulda used that last night.
I owned a mid 70's blue line SVT/810 rig. It was similar to owning a boat in that the 2 happiest days were the day I got it and the day I got rid of it. YMMV. Or, Tweetchie Zone.
So...along this line of discussion, I ... ... ...
My first real bass amp was a 63 Bassman(~45W)+ 212 cab*. Neither one was what I called 'light', ... ... ...

YMMV. Tweetchie zone.
Interesting. I'm about to sell my 200c 'cos I prefer the sound of the 12 in my R100.
Tweetchie zone.
Being a non-fan of 'Pegs, I'll go with cheating, but tweetchie zone.
This is a new phrase to me. A search just shows some tourist railroad. No doubt I’ll feel dumb hearing the answer, but please explain?

So, you admit to ignoring GonePlaid all these years?!??

Well, to each their own, ... ... or whatevers.

Fellow Rumblers - hoping for a bit of assistance here. I have a Stage 800 that I use almost exclusively with my G&L L-2000 or Kiloton, although sometimes with one of my Yamaha basses. Regardless of the amp model I use, I can't seem to get a clean tone from the amp, especially with my G&L's (yes, they are aggressive sounding basses). I'm thinking I may have a blown speaker. What's the easiest way to check? Visually, they look fine. Any help us appreciated.

Has it been this way since it was new or did something change recently?

I'm wondering if it's a manufacturing defect like the one I dealt with or if something possibly broke along the way.

It's pretty much always been like this. One of the cones came dented, but I was told when I bought it that it didn't affect sound. After some checking as described above, I'm thinking I just am not getting along with the Rumble tone. I want something cleaner. Don't know if different speakers would help or if I need to change brands (thinking Markbass).

The Rumble Club WIKI may have a suggestion-or two-to cure your situation. They don't EQ the same as other amps; putting a sock-or something-in a port; adding batting in the cab; whatever.
Rumbles aren't gonna sound like other amps unless that's how you 'set' them. I prefer the "baked in" sound of 7ender amps to anything else I've played through, which includes 3 different size/type 'Pegs, a GK, some PVs, a MarkBass, etc.

I'll go through the Wiki again. Perhaps I'll find something to help me out that I've overlooked previously. I have added some batting to the cab, worked the EQ, etc., but just can't seem to get a tone I am comfortable with. Not articulate or clean enough for my liking. I've had this amp for several years now.
