Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

I ordered my Studio 40 yesterday so should be here this week which is pretty exciting! :bassist:🔊 I'll say hi on the Rumble Club page when it arrives and I'm an official owner!!

Similar to LeMaartien's post, I've had another look through the WiKi page and apologies if this is there and I can't see it, but in addition to the decoder and stock preset spreadsheets, is there a spreadsheet that has a master list of suggested stock presets for styles/bands/songs/etc. If this is a new thing, could this be added to the WiKi page? Would it be possible to have shared access so anyone could jump on and add things? Not sure if it works like that, but just wondered if it would work.

Congrats, g! I look forward to inducting you soon! Pix are not strictly required for membership, but they are vigorously encouraged!

You're not the first to ask which Stage & Studio presets are good for certain styles/bands/songs, g. No, there's not currently such a list. But, yes, anyone could setup such an unprotected googledocs spreadsheet for me to link on the wiki. If you get it going, just send me the link!

Thanks G-Dog, I've created the following spreadsheet as a start and can see how it goes.....

Rumble_Studio_40_Stage_800_Preset_Suggestions.xlsx

I think I've set it to editor access for all with the link. I initially added your HEARTBREAKER suggestions for Led Zeppelin.

I had a different question going the opposite direction (bass to guitar) and that was: which Studio 40 presets are the best for guitar? I got the following suggestions:

3-Filthy Bassman
14-Basic '59 Bass
34-Basic Bri-Watt
35-Basic Orangey Dirt
36-Basic 1970 Brit

I've added your comments LeMaartien as well.

For those interested in the (two) bass tones from the band Muse in the song Plug in Baby, this preset called Invalid Link Removed does a good imitation... just turn the Step Filter on and off to switch between the two parts.

Thanks for your reply ricardol, This has been added too.

g, I've added a link to your spreadsheet to the Rumble Club Wiki page right under the Droopy_TX Preset Experience section. Let the suggestions begin!

Great, thanks G-Dog!

Glad you like it, g. Please feel free to give us a good ol' fashioned sales pitch, with large fonts & colors, here on the LT25, Studio & Stage thread to get more contributors to it. 🧐

And, when you get your Studio 40 and introduce it to the main Rumble Club thread, be sure to mention it there, too! Even though we try to limit modeling discussions on the main thread, so as not to confuse the non-modelers there, you can certainly advertise it a bit! 🤨

Woo hoo!!! g, that's freekin' fantastic!! Welcome to the Mad Men of TalkBass! I really do appreciate a good sales pitch. See =G-Dog&o=date']my G-Doghouse ads, for example.

I do believe that a dignified, tasteful link to that ad when you introduce your Rumble Studio to the main Rumble Club thread will definitely be in order! 👍

Good morning/afternoon/evening all! So I've finally (after not very long at all!!) received my Rumble Studio 40 which I've paired with a Squier Classic Vibe 70s jazz bass whch are both great!

Been working my way through the presets, and I already have a favourite in 09 DEEP RUMBLE which seems to be my go to for the time being!

Click here to hear me attempting to Ramble On!! :bassist:

Nice (partial) cover! Are you recording the Studio 40 from its DI output? If so, I assume that it's Post. I use the same preset a lot, too.

If you didn't see my post above on the GTX-7 footswitch for the Mustang GTX guitar and the Rumble Studio 40 and Stage 800 amps, watch the video. It's got a lot of bang for the buck.

Thanks! It stops early as I can't play the chorus well enough to broadcast!! And it's just a quick and dirty video recorded on my phone. Will need to check it out properly how to connect the DI output.

I did see your post, thanks. Not sure I need it just yet, but will probably consider it at some point.

How do you guys connect your Studio 40 (or stage 800, are they the same in that regard?) to your computer to record?

I tried the simple method of connecting the USB port to my computer but it didn't seem to register the amp in the sound settings. Not sure if I'm missing something with that.

Hey, g, there's some USB recording tips near the end the Stage & Studio LINKS section of your Rumble Club Wiki page, right above the Videos section. Maybe they can help?
