Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

The size gigs it can do depends a lot on several factors like:
  • How many other instruments? I've played mine simultaneously, as the only bass, with 20+ other acoustic-only instruments such as guitars, fiddles, mandolins, banjos, and a dobro!
  • How loud are the other instruments? It won't hang well with an ego-driven 100-watt guitarist, and/or loud drummer. It can work well with sensitive, listening electric guitarists and a like-minded drummer.
  • Do you have reinforcement? If not using the XLR Out(s) to PA, do you have other amp(s) you can run the FX Send(s) into?
  • How big a venue? It won't fill a large room full of lotsa people, or outdoor gig without using the XLR Out(s) or othe reinforcement(s).
If in doubt, or if needed later, get the Rumble Stage 800. Only double the weight, but 10 to 20 times the power, with the exact same models and features!

Hope this helps.
.

The Stage 800 will easily carry a small to medium-sized room on its own and sound gear doing so. It doesn’t wince when you lay into either. I haven’t had the chance to play with an ext cab, but expect it would perform admirably.

I know it’s up there, price-wise, but to me its one of the few combos I’ve owned where I could unload all my other ones and be happy, and for me that’s saying a lot!

How do you reorder effects in Fender Tone 3.0? I went to the amp preset page, brought up the Reorder Signal Chain, and I see the list of the preset’s effects. Each entry has red circle with white bar. I can’t drag the entries around to reorder them. I can’t quite remember how I did it in the previous version of Tone.

I upgraded the iOS app and the amp firmware to the latest & greatest today.

Ginger, it sounds like you need a refresher on "Editing Effects" on page 18 of the manual.

You have to find an "open slot", indicated by a plus sign (+) in a circle, to move an effect into.

Hope this helps.

On the ToneApp Presets list ->
-> 3 dots upper right corner of the screen ->
-> Reorder Signal Chain ->
-> press and hold 3 horizontal bars on the right of each effect ->
-> drag it to the desired order.

OooOoo, ricky, that is SO much cooler than using the Encoder wheel and buttons on the amp! Thanks, ever so.

Say, everybody, I've looked and do not find a TONE App manual anywhere. Is such a thing just "not done" for apps, or what? Anyone? Anyone? ... Beuhler? . . . .

Oops! Nitpicking Department: Presets 1 thru 3 use the Super Bassman OD amp, yet the preset overview shows a Deluxe Reverb Amp. What up wi' dat? :roflmao: (Someone fogot to change the graphic from the Mustang version?)

From the SUPERnitpicking Dept: not all of the amp icons represent the actual amps in the app. Love the Bassman, but it covers for the Hiwatt and others too. I’m sure it’s a trademark thing, but the Ampeg is displayed and it looks better.

Thank you.

I frankly don’t care. The new app is so much more user-friendly.

Interesting. Mine isn’t showing that. No Hiwatt, Fender Bassman only. I’ll hsvr to look into this matter. If mine looked like that I wouldn’t have written.

And I know, Jakob, it’s small beans, but life of late has given me the opportunity to think about such things. On a normal day...meh.

?? iago, you got some 'splainin' to do! :smug: I don't see where a Bassman amp icon shows where a "British Watts" or "Bri-Watt" amp should be. I'm probably overlooking it. Can you please give me an example preset name or number?

I do see a whole lot more presets with the Dual Showman amp than I realized, even from looking at the fabulous @Droopy_TX preset decoder lists! iago, could that Dual Showman be what you're seeing and possibly mistaking as a Super Bassman? I mean, during my first perusal of the new interface I assumed I saw lots of Super Bassman icons, which I now know to be Dual Showman icons.

thanks! Yesterday, I didn’t see the horizontal lines* on the right-hand side.

<middleAgeLament>
I didn’t see the lines because they are dark gray on a black background! Older folks have more...let us say, more leisurely vision. A higher contrast would be appreciated.

I can reorder effects now.

* do kool people still call that tri-line the “hamburger”?

“Ginger” instantly brought Gilligan’s Island to mind. And then crusty old drummers.

I suspect electric guitars’ real purpose is to create cables. Like cooking’s main result is dirty dishes, and carpentry’s is sawdust.

G, on my iPhone, the Super Bassman OD has the right icon, but they're so much smaller than on a tablet, they look much more alike; but, you can tell the name on the amp face is correct.

Well, Droop, do you see Bassman icons where Bri-Watt icons should be? Maybe @iagtrplyr is using an iPhone, too.

#34 - Basic Bri Watt. It’s a Bassman icon in place for what I would think would be the Hiwatt. Same for Orange at #35. At least that’s what is showing on my app. Get huntin’, Dog!

No, on my iPhone 8 (iOS 13.3.1) the 70's British, British Colour, British Watts, Studio Premp, and Studio Tube Preamp amps all use the same icon. It looks like a tweed amp similar to, but not the same as the '59 Bassman icon.

EDIT: Ok, I see; I thought you meant Super Bassman.
Yeah, they all look like the '59 Bassman, but they are a little different.

Uh, oh!

iago, are you using an iPhone?

The icons on my androids, phone & tablet, for the Bri-Watt (Hi-Watt), British Colour (Orange), 70's British (Marshall), all look like their namesakes. And the Studio Preamp and Studio Tube Preamp look, more or less, like revamped Rumble 800 HDs!
