Fender Rumble LT25, Studio 40 & Stage 800

Thx for that - Looking forward to the pedal tuner as well....Once I find that Vintage pocket - am so happy - I change tones with simply my hands n rolling on and off the P bass tone - simple as that ----- am sure that 800 with 2 10 ext (not ported) will create a thermo pulse that bangs one right in the chest -

+1. If you want a thumping chest, there are quite a few models available, but the Basic TV Front will hand it to ya in spades. If you like the Fender tone, you’ll love that one at higher volumes!

Wow! - I think you just pushed me o'er the edge - Now I do have a Carvin B2000 with a Goliath 610 (quite the thumper) - but the cab is like 125 lbs - it is like never used gear I have (keep it in mind) - But, when I was a kid n I walked into a club I could tell if the bass player had an SVT just by being pounded in the chest with that beautiful Fender bass n SVT (sealed enclosure) pulse, boom ,bang - I think it is going to happen with the 800 (prolly by its lonesome) but if this cab doesn't do it - i'll look for the Fender 210 ext

New update to Fender Tone app (iOS) today. Version 3.1.3 (mine shows build 5116).

I reported my android tablet having that version with a higher build number back in October. But, checking now, I've got Version 3.1.5, build 8176. This is with auto-updates. Who knows what determines what device gets what version/build?

Given what we've seen in the history of the app, I think it is developed for Android, then ported to iOS. So, I don't expect the build numbers will always align. It looks like this latest iOS was to fix problems with iOS 14. I saw the update, but I haven't used the app in a while. So, I haven't witnessed any problems.

Due to the frequent question about swapping grilles, a link to @Jeremy Jones' post showing his swap of his Rumble 40 & Studio 40 grilles has been added to the Rumble Club Wiki page at the end of the Rumble V3 Summary Info section. Hopefully this will provide some helpful info to our Rumblers!

Thank you, again, @Jeremy Jones for your post and support.

Thank you, @Texican, for sharing your makeover of your a Rumble combo! Tex, your original post of the faulty Rumble 500 that you converted to a 210 cab has been linked on the Rumble Club Wiki page near the middle of the Rumble Modifications section, with other mods. This is a great example of salvaging greatness from a throwaway that is sure to be the envy of many a bassist.

Thanks, Texican, for your sharing.

Now that I have my best of all world scenarios, namely, Rumble 200, Rumble 500 + 210 ext + 115 ext
Would appreciate any Rumble owners experiences using aforementioned in different configurations and what are your thoughts towards them., i.e. Rumble 200 using 115 or 210 ext? Rumble 500 w/210 ext or 115 ext?
Thx for your feedback

Thank you, @Boomer777, for asking about which cab to use with which of your a Rumble combos! I believe the answer lies in what is known as the "Coupling Effect", which I thought was explained in the Rumble Talks section of the Rumble Club Wiki, but it was not. I found the reference, so, now it is! This illustrates how we think we know the basis for some phenomenon, but it's not always as easy to find as we think. Now, I hope, this one is a bit clearer.

Stacking identical drivers enhances low frequencies more so than unlike drivers.

Thanks, Boomer, for your asking.

Wish there are 350 watts Rumble " Grandma House Shaker" combo with 112 cab (220 watts)+ Extention 112cab(350 watts) appear on Fender Digital Bass Amp list this year.......

Yah, man! Since you've posted this in the Rumble bass modeling thread, can I assume you would want this to be a modeling bass amp? If so, you're quite close to the Rumble Club 400 some of us have previously wished for. There are some small detail differences, but we certainly agree that we need something between the Studio 40 and the Stage 800, right?

Good idea! I’ve been thinking this for quite awhile. Imo the 40 is too small and the 800 is beyond overkill.

My suggestion...The 200w power amp and external speaker out from the R200 paired with the Studio/Stage Pre and all put into the 1x12” form factor of the R100. It would have the modelling front end with 140w to one speaker and 200w for two with the same effects loops and DI outs as the Studio/Stage. Otherwise, leave the ext cab out off and run the R100 power amp. Imo this would be about perfect for home.

Fender would also need to re-release the R112 extension cab to pair with it. This paired with the above would be great for smaller gigs.

My two cents.

Thank you, @dirkhh, for asking about what you're missing with your a Rumble 15! It reminded me of my post comparing the features of the Rumbles 15, 25 & 40, which I have now linked in the Rumble V3 Summary Info section of the Rumble Club Wiki, right under the big chart. This should help beginners or those looking for small practice amps see the differences.

Thanks, dirk, for your asking.

Got my rumble stage 800 around 130 today and was playing with it all day until about 7. I love it. It’s so cool. I also have the rumble 40 and used both of them with my Billy Sheehan Attitude 3 stereo outputs. Running the split coil pickup to the stage 800 and the woofer neck pickup to the rumble 40. Glad that the 800 can be tuned down enough to sound quiet in my home. Lol. That sucker is loud! But the modeling options are just incredible. Some really great options in there.

thank you gdog and all who contribute to your awesome wiki. It’s was a real help the past few days getting me educated on the options of this amp.

I decided to keep my wifi on to see if the firmware update might have resolved that issue. I didn’t have any issues today so will see if I need to shut that off.

Congrats on the new amp! The Stage/Studio are really amazing. Keep us posted re: the wi-fi. Mine’s been working perfectly since I turned it off in between updates.

Sweet pickup, Bclef. It’s the best combo amp I’ve ever owned and, admittedly, I’ve barely scratched the surface of what it can do. The irony is that my favorite models are basic with maybe a little reverb added. You’ll like having what’s on tap even if you don’t use every function. Now if only the computer can last a decade or two. Enjoy!

Nope, you are most definitely in the right place for all things Stage/Studio. Welcome and keep the questions/observations/banter coming. There are some great folks on here who can help answer most any question you have regarding the Fender modeling amps and the more you start digging into all of their capabilities, the more questions you’ll have, I expect.
All of us here are interested in user experiences, there is just so much available from these amps that it is great to hear what others have discovered, so keep your posts coming!
@G-Dog , I expect that the issue @Bassclef46 was addressing was the tendency of the modeling amplifiers “dropping out” randomly for several seconds when wi-fi is left on. As you are aware, it caused me some concern on my Stage 800 until the “fix” was determined. I’ll be interested to hear if subsequent firmware updates have eliminated this issue (@Bassclef46 , which firmware update are you currently running?). FWIW, the same wi-fi dropouts have occurred with my more recently acquired Studio 40, as well.
