Yeah, RS even calls'em Expbirds, but I dig'em! Not that I'll be able to splurge on one anytime soon.beautiful, but WAY TOO Explorer looking for me to think it is a Tbird spin-off, and to look at the c.card balance for a possible purchase![]()

I happen to own the orange RS Expbird. Very nice bass, Just plug in and you sound like JE!
Cool, thanks, that's about what I guessed. RS' basses look great, but you're the first owner I've run across.I think I paid $1500 for it.

Serious GAS. My local shop had one of these on the wall, they just put together for a customer a few months ago. The dude took it down and I got to play it - for about 2 minutes.
Very P bass like tone and feel (of course, it DID have a P neck). I would love to spend a little more time with one of these bad boys! Maybe gig w/ it or at least a full 2 hour rehearsal to get the feel down.
Here is a picture of the bass resting in the bass room.![]()
The Warmoth thunderbird body SUCKS!< the neck pocket is way too far out tords the edge and puts the neck WAYYY out there, this not only totally SCREWS the balance, you need 10 foot long arms to reach the first fret.
Here was the one i built a few years ago.

See how far the neck sits in the body?
It sounded good though, double qtr pounder P's with 18volt bart preamp.
