"Fenderbird"

My Fenderbird

I could not live with the lost upper access so I went with JE later Fenderbird, which had the lower horn cut away.

your dog has black tape on his but...are you tryin to make him explode?

Someone complained once about seeing my dog's anus in the picture so I fixed it!

That is awesome. What is it exactly and where/how might a mortal obtain one? Do they come in a 4-string flavor?

I will take pics but, I have the exact same bass and color, the only difference is that mine is a 4 string!

I bought a 90s Epi Tbird on Ebay for $400, then bought a Mighty Mite Jazz neck (w/ maple fretboard) and tried to put them together.

I found that the neck pocket on the Tbird was too narrow, side to side, and needed about 1/4in overall taken out. I took it to a local luthier (who is amazing btw!) and he routed out the pocket and put the neck on for only $50!

I love mine, except the pickups and bridge!

EDIT: FYI I think if you go to my bands myspace(below) there is a pic of me playing it!

The tbirds pocket is a little smaller than the neck, you will need to widen ir with a routear, depth can be left as it is, but you will need to move the bridge, i did it this way and it turned out just fine, i was going yo push the neck further in the body but did not want to mess with the only pickguard i had, un the end its a little top heavy, as expected from most tbirds, but a nice strap and placing the strap button directly by the pocket works very well, its still a verte heavy bass.
