Okay...referring to my (maybe; see my next post) above...I did a Christmas version of a song that's not especially well-received 'round these parts from what I've read- the song is..."Old Time Rock and Roll." I call my version "Old Time Christmas Shows," and it's about the classic animated Christmas specials instead of classic rock music. I had fun recording it many years ago on a Tascam 424 4-track cassette recorder; it's another song that's outside my wheelhouse, so I did the best I could.

I'm adding a poll to the thread - I'm letting the TB community decide whether or not I should post this last song. Based on your votes, you'll have a chance to hear "Old Time Christmas Shows" - or not. Your vote counts!!!

Okay...there was one vote in the poll...and the vote was "Yea!" So, here's "Old Time Christmas Shows."

Remember - this is outside of my wheelhouse, I'm not a rocker, I did it on a whim, this is just for fun, my vocal pitch is all over the place, I recorded it many years ago on a Tascam 424 4-track cassette recorder, and yes, I'm making excuses! I think you'll like though, but be gentle!

It may not be "good" but you were having fun, and I had fun listening to it. That makes it good to me. :thumbsup:

Wow...I almost forgot to post this one! It's my version of "Auld Lang Syne"; I based it on Bootsy Collins' distorted bass at the end of "Ahh...The Name Is Bootsy, Baby!" I threw in some crowd noise and sound effects just for fun! BTW, the exploding sounds are not gunshots - they're fireworks! You can download it for free through New Year's Day:
