Finally!! Ashdown Steps Up with some Small Tubers!! Yes

Never owned a tube amp. Thinking about a small all-tube, like the Ashdown 15 or 30, OR a monster hybrid like a Hartke 500.

Mostly for noodling around at home. Going places would revert to the Markbass all SS.

I'm thinking the 15 is probably enough vs the 30 (little bastard) and its half the price too.

Does the 15 have enough balls to play at loud (in a studio environment) without distortion, or is cranking it going to automatically distort because of the low power. A little warmth is good, but not looking for major overdrive/fuzz.

Argh! Ashdown & their limited distribution!!! Been REALLY wanting to try the little 15 watter & have kept my gear-slush fund stocked so I can nab one if I dig it. Just can't find a unit to try out. Maybe next year?

I don't know if anyone else saw this photo of the CTM30, but I was wondering if anyone has heard anything, specifically on how it differs from the Little Bastard. Controls look very similar. I just picked up a Little Bastard and it's a great amp! Would be curious to try that power section mated with the CTM preamp though...

I haven't heard the CTM but it's basically a 30 watt version of the the CTM series.

Looks like the the price point for the CTM-100 is right there with the Fender Bassman 100T, however, no dual channels.

Cool, thanks for the info! I'm glad to see Sweetwater picked up Ashdown, Sweetwater is good to deal with and the Ashdown stuff seems very nice, so far with my LB-30.
