That's still to high in my opinion. A lot of great amps out there used in that price range. And a couple new tube amps for not much more. Peavey can turn out a 200 watt American made amp for 850. But Ashdown can't get a 30 or 15 watt Chinese amp in a better price point? In my dream world the LB30 would go for 500 and the CTM15 FOR 300.

I didn't read all 7 pages so I don't know if this has been covered or if you still care but you CANNOT run ANY tube head without a cabinet, including the Fender bassman. The Fender has a cabinet mute so you can record without hearing it but you CANNOT run it without a load. It will cook itself really quickly.

Side note, I just picked up an LB30 from the MF blowout, I have been loving the tone. Can't use it in a band setting though so I won't be keeping it.

I don't think you're correct on that....pretty sure the 100T can be run without a cab. Other way more SMRT people than me will be chiming in soon I'm sure.

You are correct. The 100T has an internal dummy load, the Super Bassman does not (300w dummy load would have been impractical).

Oh snap they did. My bad. I didn't know they added it for the 100, I remember somebody mentioned they were intending on doing it with their 300 a while back and I thought it was a cool feature. I was told that it was just a mute though and that feature doesn't exist. Very cool to know it does.

When I got the LB ready at my place I was about to turn it on to warm up the tubes while I found a speaker cable. Then I remember that is a no go on tubes, then I remembered why I switched to SS.
